Lahat ng Kabanata ng My Unsuspecting Mate: Kabanata 81 - Kabanata 90

Cole, Xavier and Ash scouted the grounds before each decided to take a breather.  "We still have about… three hours… before the meeting," Xavier reminded.  "I need a bath. See you guys around…" Cole said.  "Let me check on doc., see you," Xavier said and headed back to the shed.  "I'll just … hang around… Boss," Ash said. Cole sighed, halt his strides and beckoned to him to follow him inside. Ash promptly obeyed.  Once inside. Cole saw Tiana sitting on a corner couch with a mug in hand and a book opened on her lap.  She raised her face when the two men entered.  "Hey!" Cole called in greetings. Tiana grinned and with the sudden twinkle in h

Xavier sat down like a bird perching on the edge of the leather seat. His jaw clenched tightly in somewhat anger. Cole watched him take calming breath as he shut his eyes. When he opened them he appeared calm. His eyes settled on his drink placed on the table in front of him but it didn’t seem like he could see it. He carried a faraway look like someone in deep thought. Cole picked up the cup with his free hand, and nudged him on the forearm, making Xavier look up and focused, his dark gaze was turbulent. Cole wondered what a man like Xavier had seen in his lifetime and what he had to do to continually heed the call of his people. "Here," Cole said, offering him a drink. Xavier lowered his gaze to the golden liquid, took the glass cup and downed the drink. Cole poured more for him. Xavier sighed. "What does it say?" Wulfrun asked. "The usual— albeit coded. He wants me to come to get them out," Xavier said. "When?" Jason asked. Xavier look at the phone and reached for it. H

A few minutes before, Isabelle peered out of the glass wall in Cole’s room looking down at the ridges of tents and mediaeval kind of dining table set up close to the fire pit. It was around 6 pm now and the natural daylight had turned into a dull blanket of grey covering the grounds. It had stopped snowing and the weather was cold, but it didn’t matter, their kind thrived best in weather like this. She imagined the pups would sleep like the dead when they eventually retire for the day. Their laughter and endless running around could be heard from miles. Their eyes lit up in happiness and their cheeks adorably rosy – a sigh of good health and vitality as they all sat down around the table with a bountiful display of steaks, fresh fruit, nuts, and confectioneries. Her eyes caught a figure of a man in a somewhat similar getup as the security guards, munching an apple just by a side tree. The man was muscular like the rest of the men and tall too. He had dark brown hair and his jaw was

Cole, Xavier, Jason, Darrow, Wulfrun and Hallec, stood around his study as Xavier dialled the number on the contact list. It rang once and was immediately answered. “I have been right about you twice now—” a deep, raspy voice said from the other side of the line. “It's nice to know you made it back,” Xavier said. “We barely did, thanks to your men, nobody died today,” Angel said. “You sound tired,” Xavier said. “You would be in my shoes, especially after surviving what we did today and getting back here only to be faced with another kind of death. Trust me, I am able to speak to you now because I had help—” “You have an insider?” “You can call it that—” Angel replied. Cole noted the hesitancy in his voice, deducing the other Were didn’t want to divulge more information. He was certain Xavier noted it too because he directed his attention to Jason, watching him look on eagerly. “How is Faelan?” Xavier asked. Cole thought that was highly considerate of him or perhaps calculate

“Is this the trail Jason was talking about? The one he said you made him run through?”“Nope, he doesn’t know about this one. As you can see there isn’t a walkway. But I have taken this trail countless times to know my way through it. The one he was talking about is a mile down the river, this one has a link bridge to the cabin,” Cole replied. Isabelle chuckled. “You really fancy your privacy, huh?”“I don’t like people all the time." “Duly noted.”“Don’t worry, I love having you around,” he said. “Lucky me,” Isabelle cooed. He laughed dropping a kiss on her upturned face again. It was quite a walk, but Isabelle didn’t mind. She enjoyed every second spent with him and loved how securely he held on to her, shielding her from the element. She rubbed her face against his chest, enjoying the feel of him.“Keep that up and I won’t wait till we get to the cabin to fuck you,” he said. She giggled, burrowing even deeper against him. “You say it like it is a bad thing,” she whispered
