My Heartless Stepbrother のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 31 - チャプター 40

MEGHAN"Chase, I really don't need a new outfit," I protested as he picked out a pink and white dress from the shelf and handed it to me. It was a pretty dress, but it wasn't my style and was completely overpriced."Come on, Meg. Don't fight me on this. It will look great on you," Chase insisted."But I don't even like pink." I was laughing it off, but I felt uncomfortable. Chase had been trying to get me to buy one thing after another as soon as we got to the mall. I told him that I didn't want him to shop for me, I was not materialistic, and it didn't matter if I had enough clothes or not, but he kept on insisting on buying more things.Chase gave me the sad puppy eyes. "I know it's not your favorite color, but I think it would look great on you. You have such delicate, feminine features, so this dress will suit you. You know I love it when you dress up!""But Chase, you didn't like anything I picked out for myself earlier. So are you trying to tell me I have bad taste in clothes?"

CHASEI could always tell Meghan didn't trust me entirely, and I never understood why. I have tried my hardest to win her heart ever since we met.The first time I saw her? I thought it was love at first sight. She was so sweet and so innocent without much experience in life and relationships. She didn't want to go out with me at first, so I had to be persuasive. I didn't want to seem desperate, but at the same time, I didn't want to lose my chance with her. So I kept trying until she said yes.I thought she felt the same about me, but everything changed when she decided to move back to Miami. That put a dent in my plan to make things official with her. And now, I have to deal with her asshole stepbrother.Adrian Reed. What the fuck was his problem anyway? He acted more like her jealous boyfriend than her brother, so I was deeply suspicious of him. I decided to keep an eye on him and make sure there was no funny business between them. And I didn't trust him, not at all.It was as if h

MEGHAN Mind games. It seemed that Adrian liked to play them. I didn't want to do this with him, but if he never wanted to come clean about his feelings to me, I didn't know how to deal with him. "There, I won't act shy. So now what?" I said sharply. Adrian moved closer to me, and my heart thumped against my chest. I stayed still as he moved a strand of hair off my face. Smiling mischievously, he let his fingers brush against my cheek, making me twitch. "Are you offering yourself to me?" Adrian smirked. "Are you going to let me do anything I want to you?" "God, you are so arrogant. No, that's not what I'm doing at all. I just want to see how shameless you are," I said. Adrian chuckled and kept playing with my hair. He had no intention of leaving me alone, I could see that now. He was trying to tease me, maybe even make me cry. But I wouldn't let him win this time. "Shameless, huh?" He wiggled his eyebrows. "You seemed to love it on the phone the other day. When I talked dirty to

MEGHAN What do I do with this guy? So I thought as I stared at Adrian sprawled across the bed, mumbling feverishly. I tried to call mom and see if she could help. "Oh, no, honey! We won't be home for four days. We are visiting grandma, remember?" she had said over the phone. Fuck... That means I was stuck here, taking care of my stepbrother, who had been nothing but a douche to me these past few days. And now I have to take care of him? I thought about ditching him like this and go hang out with Chase like I had originally planned, but when I saw him lying there, moaning and groaning, I felt terrible. I couldn't just leave him there when he had a high fever! What kind of person would that make me? He grabbed my arm after I put a second blanket on him. "Let go, Adrian. It's time for me to go to bed," I said as he tugged on me. "No...stay here with me," he said. His eyes were still bloodshot, and his hand was hot like he was a human furnace. "NO! You need to stay here and take

MEGHANI was beyond horrified and embarrassed being caught by Chase like this. What was going through his head right now? He must think I'm a slut and would want to break up with me.I took a long shower to buy myself some time. I didn't know how to explain things to him. I made a mistake by sleeping with Adrian once, but I didn't imagine Chase be understanding about it. There was no way I was going to class now. I needed to sort everything out with Chase first. After I got done getting ready, I went to the living room and found him waiting for me."Took you long enough," Chase said grimly.I hung my head low to hide my heated cheeks. I didn't know where to start. Should I start from the beginning and tell him everything? What was the point anyway?"S...sorry...I just...I guess I was stalling. I don't know what to say or how to explain things," I murmured."I see. Well, should I believe you when you say you didn't have sex with him last night?" he asked curtly.I nodded frantically. "
