HIS STORY 1 (HOW HE BECAME A WOLF)
The duo lay cuddled in Max's king sized bed. Max was lying on his back and had pulled Shirley to half lie on top of him with her hair sprawled on his chest. "My father would hate me if he knows what I am," Shirley suddenly blurted out, breaking the thick silence that had been ensuing between them. "He is not your father Shirley," Max knew that it was a painful reminder but he still said it. She raised her head from his chest, even sitting up, to glare at him. "Look love, I know exactly what you are going through. I have lived it. And you know, you are actually lucky you have me," he said, sitting up himself and reaching to take both her hands in his. She let him, a soft sigh escaping her throat. She knew that he wasn't meaning to brag. She was indeed lucky that she had him to help her through this. "Are you also a born wolf? Or you were bitten?" she asked. "I am a born wolf, just like you," he said. "Tell me how you turned. I want to know," she demanded. Shirley felt that knowin

HIS STORY 2 (THE AMANDA PROJECT)
"We werewolves are limited by a curse. We are controlled by the full moon. The feds wanted to make humans into werewolves scientifically because they felt that the curse wouldn't apply to them. Making them the perfect weapon for war and their dirty deeds," Maxwell explained. "They call this project of theirs the Amanda Project. It is a highly classified government project that only the higher-ups know about," he went on. "They made the first batch. Twelve humans. It was a catastrophic failure that cost this nation lives and properties, one of which happens to be your mother," Maxwell said. Shirley gasped. "You mean my mother's death, was caused by the feds failed project?" Shirley asked, anger gushing through her veins. "I am sorry Shirley but yes," Maxwell said and Shirley sniffed as fresh tears brewed in her eyes. "I don't understand… Why are you working for them then?" Shirley asked. "I have no choice. It is the only reason I am alive, because I work for them, and they trust m

THE ONE THING SHE WAS SURE OF
It was the sudden ringing of her phone that woke her up. She turned away from Max, who had also woken up. As she left his embrace and reached for her phone, picking the call, he sat up on the bed, yawning beside her. "Dad," was the first word that came out of her mouth, proceeded by a shaky breath. "Sweetheart, I was wrong. Please come back home and we will talk," her father's voice came from the other line. Max heard every word. "Okay," Shirley muttered, and then hung up. She turned to look at Max whose eyes had been on her the whole time. "You heard my dad. I have to go back home. If not for anything, for his own safety," she said as she started to push off the duvet with her feet, getting off the bed. "And what about your safety? Don't you realize that this could be a trap?" Max asked and she scoffed, and then turned to glare at him, her hands crossed together against her chest. "My father wouldn't hurt me," she insisted and he scoffed, shaking his head doubtfully at her. "L

PASSIONATE COUPLE
Maxwell gave Shirley a grand tour of his villa. It was a one storey building. The villa was so spacious with too many rooms to count. There were two sitting rooms, one of the sitting room had a fireplace with a cozy cushion right in front of it. Shirley loved the fireplace. But she loved the rooftop more. There was a jacuzzi right inside the other sitting room. The villa had two kitchens and a lot of bedrooms. There was a workout gym with all the appliances a workout gym could have. There was an office space. A laundry room. A store room… The villa had plenty of outdoor space. A basketball court. A spacious swimming pool. Behind the villa's building was a mini garden. And all around the villa, they were surrounded by nature. From the rooftop, one could see the stretch of trees all around them. It was peaceful. An escape. Shirley loved it there. After the tour, Max fixed them both something to eat, Shirley assisted him, enthusiastically. After breakfast, Shirley went to take a sh

***WARNING: This chapter contains sexual contents that might not be suitable for readers below 18!***Shirley knew that their passionate moment was over when he started to move with her to the bed. He sat on the bed, carrying her to sit on him, so that she was facing him and still straddling him. She had not answered his question. But she didn't need to. He already knew the answer. She could see it in his eyes."Do you hate that I am a virgin?" she asked when he didn't say anything for minutes except stroke her cheeks and look at her. She wasn't sure the message he was trying to communicate to her with his eyes.Maxwell shook his head at her in negation, in response to her question. "I guess I am just surprised," he said, ending with a light chuckle. "I mean, you are in the entertainment industry. You have probably had a lot of boyfriends. You are amazing. Just how is it even possible that you are still a virgin?" Max ended with a question and Shirley just shrugged her shoulders."

AN ALPHA AND HIS MATE
Earlier, the director of the agency Maxwell worked with had texted him and he knew but he hadn't been able to check the text message because he had his hands full with Shirley. Now as he leaned by the railings of the balcony, he opened the text message. It was a simple text with two words, "Call Me!" A sigh escaped Max's lips as he closed the text, and then proceeded to call the director. "Mr Thomas," he muttered in greeting the moment the phone beeped to indicate that the call had been picked. "We have a situation, we need you at the agency ASAP," Thomas flustered voice rang out from the other line. "I understand," Max muttered, and then disconnected the call. He stayed outside for a few more minutes before he crept back into the bedroom to lie by Shirley's side. His actions woke her up. "What's going on?" she muttered, rubbing on her eyes as she spoke. "Umm, nothing love, I just went to the bathroom," he muttered, caressing her face as he gazed at her lovingly. "Come on, go

RETURNING HOME
"I don't know love. I mean, I never had anyone to teach me any of these things. It was from my dad's journal that I learnt everything about our kind that I know so far," Max replied, ending with a sigh. Shirley let out a sigh herself. Maxwell continued. "Although there are a few books written by various people, most of who think werewolves are mystical creatures, some of these books actually contains true facts, most of them are exaggerations though," he said. "Werewolves are supposed to exist in packs but the man known as the hunter hunted down and killed every one of our kind. He left me most probably because the government demanded it," Maxwell paused as a thought occured to him. "The government must have been working with the hunter and even his ancestors from time memorial," he stated. "Why do you say that?" Shirley asked. "Just a thought," Max said. "There must probably be more of us out there, our generation," Shirley voiced out her thought but Maxwell shook her head at h

BAIT
Mr Lucas Blakes let out a deep sigh, even creasing the lines of his forehead as he turned to his daughter. "I don't want to fire him, trust me, I will be more at ease having him remain your personal bodyguard but you did know that it was only temporary," he tried to explain. Maxwell studied Mr Blakes expression from where he stood. He was still unsure of whether the man knew that his daughter was a werewolf. He didn't even know if the man knew about him. There was nothing in his expression that gave him away. He seemed to be speaking to Shirley sincerely at the moment. Maxwell hadn't just cloned Mr Blakes phone, he had installed a recording device on it to record every conversation he had as long as he was the phone. The app was hidden in the man's phone so the man didn't even have a clue that it was there. From the recordings and all, Maxwell had been able to gather that the hunter was yet to tell Mr Blakes about him or his daughter being werewolves but Maxwell just couldn't be at

GAME OF CHESS
"You do know that this is a suicide mission, which makes me feel that I am finally disposable especially now that you have the successes you need," Maxwell did not bother to sugarcoat his words with the very high standing people in the room with him. There was no trace of anger in his face instead his face was expressionless with a smirk curving his lips. "The hunter won't kill you," the other woman said, there was a certainty in her voice. "Of course he won't. Killing me will be way too easy and the hunter is far too ruthless to do easy," Max spelt out. "We have faith in you Max," one of the men said. He was bald. "You can pull this off and we know it and that is why we trust you enough to let you in on our plans. We could have bundled you and sent you to the hunter and let him do whatever he wants with you but we don't want to, we want to work together with you to achieve something that will benefit us all," one of the men said, the one that had first addressed Maxwell when he

WITCH
The car continued to speed on the highway until it took a sudden turn, entering a remote road with a stretch of woods on both sides of the road. A grunt like sound escaped Shirley's throat for the umpteenth time. The continuous rush of an indescribable feeling washing through her, the feel of her bones breaking, was killing Shirley. She didn't understand what was happening to her as occasionally, her bones snapped, making a popping sound, it was so painful that it forced a scream out of her mouth each time the snapping sound and pain washed through her. She knew that it was the full moon which was already beginning to be visible in the sky. She was turning. Amelia spared the struggling Shirley a quick glance, noticing that her eyes were now a glowing blue. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she returned her gaze to the road ahead. "We are almost there," she told Shirley in a comforting tone and Shirley gritted her teeth as she felt a sharp pain in her mouth, like she was suddenly gro
