ALPHA'S HATED MATE         CHAPTER ONE            Camilla’s POV    My heart is racing and for some reason I’m biting on my tongue. I’m always anxious but today is different and he knows it.      *******  We make our way inside the birthday or inauguration ceremony. Is it? I don’t know what they’re calling this joint celebration. Santiago looks around “Hmm masquerade theme…why wasn’t I told?”   I turned to face him, he obviously didn’t go through with the invitation. “Did you read the entire invite?”     “Oops.” He grits his teeth as we walk further into the room.  All eyes are on us, wait did I say us?  Let me rephrase that, All eyes are on me. I keep a straight face as we proceed to walk to the table reserved for us and we take our seats. People continue to gape and talk in grumbles. Santiago reaches for a glass of whiskey and chunks it down, dismissing the stares we are getting.  “Once again you've managed to take word out of everyone's mouths, classic.” He murmurs, making me laugh.

ALPHA'S HATED MATE        Mirabelle’s POV   I haven’t skipped school in a week, I’ve been going nonstop and usually I skip school two times a week because Adrian is usually occupied but these days he drops us on time and picks us on time.  Today, I had a maths test today and I think I failed again. The nice girl who sits next to me didn’t come. I don't even know her name. Everyone calls her the gargoyle or four eyes, which I don’t feel comfortable addressing her as.  I asked Mrs Vanderbilt how we could have a test when our classmate was upset, I was sounding concerned but really I would do anything just to get out of the test but Mrs Vanderbilt said she wasn’t coming and even if she missed one test it wouldn’t affect her grades or her performance on her final exams and that she appreciates my concern for someone that isn’t my ‘groupie’ I was offended and a
