Chapter Twenty-nine [ The old time love stories] All of Daniele's siblings and their families have already left and returned to their respective homes, leaving only her and David in the farmhouse with her parents. Even the employees and their families went home. Daniele wakes up early on a Sunday and goes straight to the kitchen, where she frequently goes after her morning routine, to look for her parents. She only notices that the coffee has just boiled and that there is hot, fresh cow's milk, slice bread, and coconut jam on the table. Because she is already hungry, she can't help but give in to her cravings for food. She also notices that there are fresh fruits like papaya and ripe mangoes, which she eats for her fetus instead of herself who is still inside her womb.
