Semua Bab Dream Mate: Bab 71 - Bab 80

The last thing I remembered was feeling too tired to keep my eyes open as Tiberius passed me to Papa. How long was I asleep? Where am I? I shouldn’t be too worried, I’d last been with Papa, and nothing bad could ever happen to me when I was with him. And I didn’t feel panicked about where I was because while the bed under me wasn’t familiar, the scent around me was. That all-so-consuming smell of basking in the summer sun, the intense orange and golden amber scent that I have known since my first shift as Tiberius’ scent. It only made sense that he would smell of sunshine with his bright and warm personality. And summer is one of my favorite seasons. Ironically winter is my other. So the presence of his scent meant I was near him or at least in a room where he spent much time. If I’m not at our villa, where am I? And why does it smell like Tiberius? These questions and more faded from my mind as the bond ignited my soul as I felt Tiberius’ lips against mine. My lips moved in tandem w

Six years! Can you believe it’s been six years since my world was turned upside down in the worst and best ways? I sure the hell can’t. Six years ago today, I was standing in my Delta heir room getting ready for my best friend and Alpha heir Thales’ welcome home bash with my fingers crossed he’d find his mate in our Beta heir Crista Fayte. I was so off base on that line of thinking. We will have our annual memorial to remember the lives of those we lost and celebrate what their sacrifices protected. I hope I’ve made Thales, my parents, and his parents proud as Alpha, even if some days I feel like I’m a hoax, just a stand-in for the real Alpha. There are times, fewer as the years have gone on, that I keep waiting for Thales to walk into the office and tell me to get out of his chair and stop fucking his Luna. Okay, the second part I only felt that first year. Katrina is my mate, so Thales being here or not wouldn’t change that I was meant to be with her. But if he’d lived, she’d be hi

Before you turn the page, welcome back to Nebrodi. The Night the Cards Danced is a special Halloween bonus story that takes place years after the final Incubi series book, Beta's Twin Mates. Because of that, this story includes references to characters, relationships, families, and events from The Quiet Giant's Mate, Beta's Innocent Mate, and Beta's Twin Mates. If you have not read those books yet and want to avoid spoilers, consider this your warning before continuing. For everyone returning to the Incubi universe, this bonus offers a glimpse at the families of the three Sicilian packs years later as they come together for a Halloween and Festa dei Morti celebration filled with family traditions, remembrance, and a little supernatural chaos. At its heart, The Night the Cards Danced is a story about family, memory, legacy, and the bonds that continue to connect one generation to the next. The candles are lit. The family has gathered. Welcome to The Night the Cards Danced.

By the time Mama decided my costume needed one more adjustment, the packhouse had turned into complete insanity. I stood in front of a hallway mirror while she tugged my costume collar straight, her fingers moving quickly before she signed, Hold still. “I am holding still,” I complained, even though I definitely wasn’t. Mama gave me the look. I stopped moving. Papa leaned against the wall behind us, already dressed, grinning like he found it all entertaining. “You know arguing with your mother has never worked.” I looked at him through the mirror. “You do it all the time.” “And lose all the time,” he admitted cheerfully. Mama smirked. Before I could answer, two identical blurs raced past the doorway. “Gwen!” someone shouted from farther down the hall. “Nope!” one twin called back. “Christina!” “Wrong again!” I turned just in time to see both girls disappear around the corner in matching costumes that made them even harder to tell apart than usual. “That’s evil,” I said. Pap

The party somehow went back to normal after Liliana’s cards stopped trying to give Tie a heart attack. Well, normal for our family. Liliana stayed practically glued to Katrina’s side for the next twenty minutes, which I figured was less because she wanted to be there and more because Katrina could tell exactly where her daughter was without looking. André wasn’t doing much better. Every time he moved, somebody watched him. Papa watched him. Mama watched him. Katrina definitely watched him. Even Darren had started giving him suspicious looks, which was impressive considering Darren had helped decorate half the courtyard with inflatable ghosts. Christina bumped my shoulder as we stood near a table. “Who do you think breaks and kills André?” she whispered. I glanced toward our brother. He was currently trying to convince Caspian and Aragon that pumpkin bowling was more fun if you stood farther away. Katrina saw him move the starting line. “André,” she warned. He moved it back. I
