“I want to be here, together with my child”, Emily dropped and fixed her gaze on the young baby who was now smiling as though he could relate to her comment.Everywhere turned dead silent, but that only lasted for a minute because almost immediately, Barbara stood to her feet and paced around in rage.“That is not possible!” She declared and pointed her hands at Emily who didn’t seem to care about her statements.“The child is mine and no one can do anything against that”, Barbara added and glared at the lawyer, obviously awaiting a form of support from her.The lawyer sighed deeply and brought forth the documents that laid in her hands.“According to this, the child now belongs to Barbara”, the lawyer stated, clearly beginning to feel exhausted about the situation.Barbara gave a wicked smile after which she sat down in fulfillment.Richard cleared his throat after listening to the situation for a while. He had been silent, trying so hard to think of a comment that would calm the situ

The wails of the baby rented the air in Richard’s mansion. Barbara’s face was soaked in sweat as she cuddled him in her arms while trying to stop him from crying. Her phone that buzzed frequently on the bed was not helping out and in a split second, she could swear that she was beginning to be frustrated. The room door made a creaking sound and almost immediately, Richard walked into the room with a huge frown on his face.“I always knew that you’re not competent to be called a mother. Just look at how my child keeps crying in your arms”, Richard hissed silently while Barbara’s blood became raged.“He is my child too!” She said angrily and darted her eyes to the little child who was in every bit of discomfort.“Then make him stop crying”, Richard countered, suddenly making Barbara turn mute.Barbara walked around the room with the child, hoping that it would lessen his wails. However, that seemed to heighten it.“This is frustrating!” Barbara confessed and dropped the child in the cot

Emily peeked out of her window as she took note of the room opposite her. It’s light were bright that anyone outside could easily catch a glimpse of whatever happening inside. She missed her son, but the only thing she could do was ensuring that he was in a safe hands. From all indications, he was…Barbara preferred having a nanny around the baby boy, rather than giving Emily access to him as against their deal. That was unfair, but Emily had to understand. The loud sound of the telephone in her room jolted her out out of her thoughts and with a large frown, she picked it up.“I need coffee, now!” Richard ordered and without waiting for a response, the call ended.Emily gulped. She needed no one to tell her that he was up to something. On the other hand, there was no way she could decline his request because she was back to working as a maid. With slow steps, she strolled towards the kitchen and prepared a mug of coffee. She recalled a statement from Barbara and that made her stop in

Emily smiled in delight the moment she felt the sweet wave of the breeze falling right on her face. For a while she had been enclosed in the mansion because she wasn’t willing to leave and give Barbara full access to her child. If she had left, Barbara would have never allowed her gain access back into the house.“You are smiling”, Richard noted from the front side of the car, watching her intently and smiling in contentment. The baby was on her laps while she looked out of the window in delight.Emily smiled calmly and lifted her head to glare at Richard.“I’m only here because of my son. He needs some air too”, Emily said with a small scowl on her face. She was lying and she knew. She missed moments when she went out with Richard and had fun, without troubles or issues.“You know that I would always love you, right?” Richard asked while Emily chuckled softly.“I know! You don’t have to tell me that. I do love you too”, Emily said and darted her eyes away.Richard placed his legs on

Emily stayed at the restroom for a couple of minutes, blinking off the tears that welled up in her eyes and convincing her need that there was no need to cry. She knew that it was a big lie. There was every reason to cry and the most reason laid in the fact that Richard would always have her hidden. The tears finally trickled out of her eyelids, accompanied with loud swearing and finally screams. She fell to the ground and her sobs heightened. For some days now, she had tried to hard to avoid Richard. She tried to make him feel that he was now worthless in her life. All her attention was focused on her child which was now her new source of joy. But still, deep down, she wanted Richard…He had promised that there would be a press conference where he would finally explain things to the world. But that was not enough…He was meant to start proving that he wanted her from the very minute they stepped out together with their son. He should have allowed the people around the park to see
