Chapter 21 - Dreams For The Sleepyhead
There were tress behind her and within the dark shadow was the vague structure of a man. Before she could even make out anything he was, immediately the dream started crashing before her eyes. She felt a terrible headache jam into her head and she fell to the floor, but instead of falling on the soft cold sand of the beach, it was like as if she fell right through it, into a dark abyss. She screamed in her dream through the weightless fall. Long penetrating screams from the depth of her throat. Then she jerked up, awake. Her eyes shot open, blinking to adjust to the darkness while her chest rose and fell, as her gown clung to her body, wet with sweat. She could almost feel the lingering pain in her head. Almost. "Just a dream." She mumbled breathlessly to herself. "It's not real. Just a dream." She said over and over again before she laid back in bed but she couldn't fall back asleep immediately. She kept on thinking about what had happened in the dream. The man had s

In Ignas?""Outside the Great Walls of Ignas."Belladonna's forehead creased in confusion. If it was outside the walls, how then did he know about it? She had never heard of anyone going out of the Kingdom, she had never even thought that the places mentioned in the books to be outside the walls, truly existed. What exactly laid beyond those walls? Beasts, people like her or demons?"How did you know about this place?""When you fly above the high and mighty walls, what wonder won't you see?"She smiled. That explained it.She had always wanted to see the world. Chapter 25 - A Walk Through Questions
She moved closer to the mirror in a flash, thereby knocking down some bottles that were on the dressing table. Were her eyes playing a trick on her right now?She blinked, running her fingers through her hair over and over again like a crazed woman, also checking her gown in the process. When she opened her eyes again, her gown was the same blue color it was when she slept in it. Her hands slowly stilled, she sniffed in her fingers to realize that the dampness was caused by sweat.Suddenly a wave of dizziness hit her and she had to lean against the top of the dressing chair for support. She blinked a couple of times again, chasing the fogginess in her mind away before looking back at the mirror. It was all normal, everything was normal.Well, that was crazy. A while ago, she had been seeing something completely different.Maybe she just hadn't recovered from her dream yet. There was a knock, making her look sharply away from the mirror and towards the door."Lady Kestra!" A guard an

"How did you know about the place?""I--" she swallowed. "I read about it.""Ah, maybe from one of the books the King had gifted you. I'm sure one of them had it.""Yes, yes!" She nodded quickly. How was she to explain that she had dreamt about it too. She would sound absolutely crazy. "And from books in her my Villages' library.""Inaymi?""Yes.""Of course, you pretty little reading thing."That nickname again? It made her feel weird but she had more important things to focus on right now. They kept on walking till they came across a side of the market, a stall sought of, where a man was sitting by a table, with cups laid face down on it. Some people were standing in front of the table, their eyes on the cups."You want to play the game?" Chapter 27 - Not So Different
Immediately, she felt Lady Kestra's hand pull her up, while she stood in front of her, shielding her. "Go your way." She said lowly to the crowd. That was the first time today, that Belladonna had heard that domineering tone she had always used on her when she had just gotten to the castle. They all left, mumbling between themselves."They don't despise you," Lady Kestra said to her as they walked away from the stall. "Don't feel terrible, they don't hate you."Well that wasn't what she was worried about. In fact, she didn't even know what she had been worried about and she couldn't be exactly sure of what she felt."They are not used to seeing scars. They are horrified that you have so many. It is a good thing though, don't feel somehow, now you have their pity."But she didn't want their pity, neither did knowing that they were horrified of her do anything to make her feel any better. It was only when Lady Kestra stopped that she realized that she had taken them to a Clothing Sto

Chapter 28 - Poison In A Good Way
The room suddenly felt filled up with tension. "You want to know how I won against the Little Performer a while ago?" She asked, trying to diffuse the tension. Belladonna's reply was slow, like as if she was reluctantly pulling herself out of the state of mind Lady Kestra's words had opened her into. Her eyes still staring into Lady's Kestra silver ones. "Ye-s?" "He was a Cheat, so I useddddd...." She moved her fingers along each other like as if she was catching air, her long polished red nails clicking together at the end of it. "Magic," she ended with a raised eyebrow and Belladonna chuckled light-heartedly. She was joking, right? They left the Clothing Store after buying only one dress because she was no mood to shop and Lady Kestra understood that. They would come back some other day, she believed there were some dresses she would really like. The next place they went to was a bar. Belladonna had never tried to get drunk before, seeing what getting drunk usually did t

When next she opened her eyes, it was to the daylight brightness of her room, Raquel's worried eyes and the King's angry ones. Wait, what? The King? What was he doing here and why was he angry?"Are you alright?" He asked, his eyes boring down at her from where he was standing next to her bed.She couldn't hold his gaze though, not after dreaming about him all throughout the night. Not after the last thing he had done to her in her dream. Even though she knew it was just a dream, the feeling still lingered in her veins somehow."Yes, I am, your Majesty.""How dare Kestra make you drink?! What if something had happened to you?! What if it was something you couldn't handle and everything had gone south. What would have become of me?!" His voice thundered. She quickly looked up at him, his eyes were blazing with rage. She nodded, her lips shaking, the feeling heightening, slowly, taking over every single part of her body. But she never got a release. The dream crashed away from her, like falling pieces of art, melting into darkness. Someone shook her roughly once again and her eyes flew open, the bright daylight sun that creeped into the room from the opened curtains was almost blinding her."My Lady, finally you are awake!" Raquel's voice was shaky with worry. "I heard you making some strange sounds in your sleep and I was so worried that you were uncomfortable.""So you woke me up?" She couldn't even contain her anger, it was so plain in her voice. "Hurriedly so," Raquel confirmed with a smile, looking back at her. "So are you---""Yes," she flung her blanket aside, mad.How dare she? Moments ago she had been experiencing something she had never experienced in her whole life, something blissful, wrong yet totally domineering. A moment that she would have wanted to stay in forever if not for how
