Luca’s POV I climbed up the stairs and was in front of the bedroom door after a few minutes, and I paused before the door for a few seconds and used that time to drag in a deep breath into my lungs, and then I let it out really slowly. I repeated the motion a few times until I could feel the urgency that had gotten intense on my way upstairs start to slowly dwindle away. I puffed out a small breath and pushed my fingers into my hair, panting a little at the next moment.
