Chapter 21
Rose POV "This place is huge," I said as I looked out the passenger side window at the Silver Moon Packhouse. Derek, Jason, Cindy, and I had just arrived at the Silver Moon Packhouse to meet my father. To say I was nervous would be an understatement. I was petrified. "Yeah, sis, this is bigger than the one at Bloodmoon," Jason said I looked over at Derek, and he looked annoyed. "It's not that much bigger." "Yeah, it is, bro," Jason said and playfully punched him in the shoulder. Seeing them joking around playfully made me smile. I loved the fact that Jason was making an effort to get along with Derek. He's my older brother, and his opinion matters to me. Once we arrived, Derek parked the car in a parking spot in front of the Packhouse. Derek stepped out of the driver's side and opened my door for me. He then took my hand and walked up to the front door. Jason and Cindy walked next to us, holding hands. Before we made it to the door, Ebony opened it with a smile on her fac

Chapter 22
Chloe "What are they doing here, Max? They are not welcome here." I shouted, wanting everyone to hear. "Keep your voice down, Chloe; they can hear you." "I don't care! It would be best if you told them to leave. As I said, they are not welcome in my house." "They are welcome here. Jason and Rose are my kids, and this is my house too." "Either they go, or I go, Max" He looked me in the eye for a moment. "Then leave! You are barely home anyway," He said, and I walked to the elevator. As I waited for the elevator to open, I didn't spare anyone a glance. I stepped in and pressed the ground floor button. I stepped out of the elevator, left the packhouse, and hopped into my car. Why would that bitch come back? It had been sixteen years, and my plan was working. Nobody knew what I was. I spend all those years with Max, living in a house full of mutts. I was not going to let Lilly come back and ruin everything. I parked my car in an abandoned lot and teleported to my sister Guinevere

Chapter 23
Derek's POV When we arrived, my parents and Rose's mom were waiting for us outside the packhouse. "We need to talk to Derek and Rose. So let's go to my office. Jason, you should come too," My father said. Cindy told Jason she would wait for him in their room and left. "We have a problem! Beta Jacob has called for a council meeting. He is trying to ban Rose, claiming she is a witch out of control. He will use her altercation with Sandy and Vivian as evidence." He said The werewolf and witch community used to be enemies. Werewolves were forbidden to be with a witch, even if they were mates. My dad helped change that law. He believed that a werewolf deserved to be with their mate, whatever they were. The law changed right before I was born, and the council said it was up to each pack's Alpha if they would accept a witch in their community. If they don't, it would be cause for banishment if a werewolf decides to be with a witch. The Silver Moon Pack didn't change the law until Keit

Beta Jacob "What do you mean they are waiting two months to do an investigation? That Witch could have killed my daughter," I said to Larry over the phone. "We have other pressing matters to attend to, Beta Jacob. She is Alpha Michael's son's mate and the future Luna. Alpha Michael explained that her powers had just surfaced while your daughter and her friend were riling her up." Larry replied I hung up my phone and threw it on the table in my office. I should have known Larry would inform Michael that I called the council. I'm sure he will get this case thrown out and let that bitch get away with stealing my daughter's mate. But, thank Goddess, I had another plan in effect. "Come in," I said after hearing a knock on my door. My daughter walks in slowly and sits. I am so disappointed in her. It is her fault that Derek doesn't feel the mate bond with her. She is doing something wrong. "You called for me, daddy?" "How is everything going with you and Derek? Are you gaining any p

Rose's POV "Hi, mom," I said as Jason and I walked into her room "Hi, Sweetie! How are you feeling today? I know that was a lot to take in yesterday," She said worriedly "I'm fine." "Mom, we need to talk to you about something important," Jason said as he sat on a chair. I sat on the chair next to Jason, and my mom sat on the one across from us. "Well, I can tell it's important by the expression on your faces. What's up?" She asked "Yesterday we went to the Silver Moon Pack and met Max," He said Everyone was quiet for a moment, not knowing what to say. "Are you two ok?" She asked "Of course, we are, mom. We hope you are not mad at us for not telling you. We didn't want to say anything about it until we knew how it would go." Jason said "I am ok, baby. After we moved here, I knew you would want to meet your father one day. I am not upset with either of you for going. I just wanted to make sure that he didn't say anything that would hurt you in any way." She said, and I was r

Lilly POV (Rose's Mom) Never in my life did I think I would see Max again. He was the only man I have ever loved and the one that betrayed me. I thought he loved me too but was wrong. Looking back at how we started makes me wonder how we could have ended terribly. I was nineteen years old when I met Max at a party. He was twenty and had just started training as a Beta for the Silver Moon Pack. Lisa had seen him constantly because of the treaty within packs. I wasn't allowed to visit any pack because I was a witch. Alpha Michael's Mother, Mary, had found me in the woods by the Pack border when I was a baby. At first, they believed I was human, but we discovered I was a powerful witch as I grew older. When we found out, Mary and Ben, Michael's father, said that we must keep this a secret due to werewolf laws banding witches from packs. Alpha Ben, my father, made it his life mission to change that law against witches. He was successful, but with exception first, The Alpha of each Pa

Chapter 27
Max's POV I stayed by the lake for about an hour, thinking about what Lilly had told me. I was confused because I knew I had never had any conversation with her about Cloe. Lilly believed that we did because she has never been a good liar. I could feel her pain as she spoke to me, which hurt my heart. I have never liked seeing her sad. How could she believe I left her and our children? I would never have done that. I stood up and walked back to the Packhouse. It was about a forty-five-minute walk. I didn't care because I needed the time to think. How could I feel so alive and warm with her? I still feel the tingles and sparks going through my body from her touch. I haven't felt that since she left me. I walked into the Packhouse and went up to Edward's floor. I knocked on the door and waited. "Come in," Edward said "Hey, I hope I'm not bothering you. Hi, Nancy," I said as I entered the room."Hi! No, you're not bothering us. I was leaving," Nancy said and then kissed Edward on

Chapter 28
There's a party tonight! We should go," Kayla stated, after sitting at our lunch table "Where," Kate asked "Moon Lake, everyone from school will be there." "It would be a good idea to go since Rose doesn't know many people here," Kate said. That was true. I'd been here a month and only knew Kayla and Kate. I spent the majority of my time with Derek. I don't mind, but every now and then a girl needs a break. He is possessive and protective. If a guy stares at me for too long, acts like he's about to break their neck. When I am not with him, he constantly calls. . Sometimes I feel like he is trying to smother me. My mother and aunt Lisa both said that it's normal for werewolf males to be protective of their mates, and that because he's an alpha male, it'll be even worse. That it's natural for him to want to be with me most of the time, especially because of how long it took him to find me. "Rose, you there?" I heard Kate call me. "Yeah, what you say" "I said you should ask your

Rose's POV I woke up this morning to an empty bed. Memories of what happened last night came quickly and I started to feel worried. I knew Derek was still mad at me for going to that party. He had barely said anything to me last night before he went to bed. I couldn't sleep last night. I felt bad for sneaking out but that doesn't mean he should ignore me. If he was upset with me then he needed to communicate with me like an adult. "Where is Derek?" I wondered as I sat up on my bed. I could hear the water running in the shower. I looked over at the bathroom door and smiled to myself. I jumped out of my bed and went over to the bathroom door. I opened it and looked over at the muscular, sexy man that was in the shower. He had a washcloth and was washing his body with soap. I started to undress and walked toward him with a smile on my face. He looked up at me and then rinsed the soap off of himself. "Can I join you?" I asked him seductively "No! I'm done, you, it's all yours" He sa

Derek's POV "What the fuck did you do to my daughter?" Max said He was pissed and looked like he wanted to attack me. "Are you ok Derek, I can't believe she acted like that?" Vivian asked as she came up to me She placed her hand on my arm tenderly and I immediately yanked my arm out of her reach. "Why are you pulling away from me now? You didn't pull away earlier," She said "You put your hand on me as soon as Rose came over. I didn't have enough time to pull away" I said. Vivian came up to me and asked if she could talk to me once I arrived at the training field. She apologized for trying to cause problems between me and Rose. Max and Aunt Lil were looking at us now. Aunt Lil looked confused and Max looked even more pissed than before. "Oh hell no! Are you cheating on my daughter? She is your mate" He said I was so worried about Rose that I didn't notice when Max lifted his hand and punched me in my face, causing me to fall to the ground again. I groaned as I felt the p
