"What? Dad already flew back to England? How cruel of him!" I yelled furiously and rubbed my temples as the maids tried to calm me down. It had been six days since the incident and today was Jack's funeral.Dad just went back yesterday night without informing. He couldn't wait for one more day and attend the funeral and then go? I was very mad at him, beyond mad at him. He couldn't even do this much for Jack, for the man who sacrificed his own life for his master's daughter.I strode towards the bathroom and took a long shower with cold water. It calmed me a little and my head felt light due to massaging my blonde locks. Then I made my way to the closet and slipped into a black dress. The fabric of the dress was thick, almost like woollen as it clung to my body, accentuating every curve. The dress was plain and had a turtle neck with small, shiny, black beads surrounding it like a necklace. It reached till my knees, the perfect appropriate length and I wore matching black sandals with

I hurried towards Noah and caught him before he could fall. He was heavy, but I managed to prevent him in hurting himself. I held him in place, but then he pushed me away and staggered back."Noah, please let me . . . You aren't in a condition to take care of yourself," I said gingerly."Why did you come here, Amelia? No, wait . . . That's not your name, is it?" he asked in a mocking tone and tapped his index finger on his chin thoughtfully."Don't, Noah. I'm still Amelia--- ""Right, Mia.""No--- ""Sorry, Princess Mia," he spat out in disgust and bowed respectfully, mocking me. "Why is a delicate Princess like you out on streets late night? Shouldn't you be at the palace happily manicuring your nails with ten thousands guards outside your room protecting your ass?""Noah--- ""Why are you here?" he demanded while squinting his eyes at me."I'll tell you later, once you freshen up," I promised sincerely, but he shook his head."No, tell me now." His cold tone pierced through me and I

I looked around my private jet and noticed Anne and Marya with their headphones on, busy watching some Disney movie and comfortably sprawled on the plush seats. There were many seats empty although my private jet wasn't very huge, still I chose to quitely sit beside Noah. He too had headphones on and was listening to music, his eyes shut peacefully. The jet was flying smoothly till now, but suddenly it started shaking. My breath hitched and my heart skipped a beat. I started to panic, but I tried to maintain my composure like a decent princess."Scared?" I looked beside me and saw Noah glancing at his hand. I too looked down and then realized that my nails dug deep in his hand, threatening to draw blood and I was holding his hand very tightly."I-erm . . . well, sorry about that," I muttered and quickly released my grip."Ma'am, the weather is a little bad. Hope you're not feeling uncomfortable, sorry for the inconvenience," the pretty attendant apologised gingerly and I waved my hand

The breeze continued to caress my bare arms as I was squealing excitedly. Even though it was cold, I didn't feel it. The warmth radiating from Noah and with me snuggling against him kept us both comfortable. It was like I was wrapped in a thick blanket during a chilled winter morning, it was all too cosy. Noah was holding onto me tightly like he would never let me go and always keep me safe.I pulled my braided hair, shook my head and let my hair loose. My long hair started to fly with the wind and the sensations, hot and cold was overwhelming me."Strawberry, your hair-it's going in my mouth!" Noah shouted over the sounds of crickets, nocturine birds and the crunching of leaves under Prince Chair's steps.Prince Charles, goddamn!"Hmm, come on, don't be a dog in the manger," I whined and I could feel Noah trying to shove my hair away like he was fighting an intense battle, but due to the wind, it slapped him right across his face.I laughed as Noah now held my hair in bunch and burie

My head throbbed in pain as soon as I woke up. I was wearing light, white cotton shorts and shirt which the maids would have changed me into last night. Last night, I repeated the two words and sighed audibly.I couldn't remember anything in particular as I sauntered towards the bathroom and splashed cold water over my face. I took a glimpse of myself in the mirror and scowled. Mascara was running down my cheeks like I had cried all night, lumps of makeup clinging to my skin as I woefully recalled that I didn't use makeup removal tissues. The maids hadn't bothered to clean me up and now the after effects was irking me.My hair was in knots and had become rough, limp and stiff like I had used too much hairspray. I scrunched my nose as I peeled the clothes off my body. I smelled like crap. I stood under the shower for long minutes, running my fingers through the knots in my hair and scrubbing my face. I tried to recollect all that had happened yesterday and the cold water hit my body br
