How Beautiful They Are

"I told you that you will find out everything when we get Erina back," Drina declared timidly, looking anxiously at her mate. "But I believe they are on their way with the King and Queen. They are out for revenge against this bitch here, they won't make it easy for her. I told you already, Alcina, you made the wrong move". The witch stares at her, full of fear. "I swear, I didn't know who Erina was. You must believe me," she exclaims with clattering teeth. "You should have kept your paws off her! She's an innocent child!" growls Jace at her. "I could break your head for this, stupid!" he exasperates. "Enrick, I think we should really leave all explanations about the pups for later. Freeing Erina is a top priority right now". The Alpha King controls his wolf with all his strength, Jax demands answers about his pups. With a final reproachful glance at Drina, he beckons Jace to ride on. "Alpha Enrick, we need to get to your pack. We must trial Alcina in public".King Arthur's voice boomed through the forest as his eyes fixated on the witch who could barely hold herself together. Still impressed with the pups, Enrick nods. Beta Jace and the Head Warrior now take Alcina back all the way while the pups keep their weapons aimed at her. "Alcina, you are played out. For years we have tolerated your misbehavior toward the Kingdom after you misused your talents to destroy it. And now that you have committed the first move to your doom, the way is clear for my family to seek justice," the King growled. Except for Cleo and Jace, they all shift again, the pups climbing back onto the backs of their grandparents. Within minutes, they are in Midnight Moon, where Alpha King Enrick is calling an emergency meeting for his pack. He, too, is curious to see how this will all turn out. Drina called her parents the King and Queen but he doesn't quite underst

"Midnight Moon, I am King Arthur and this is my mate Queen Florence," Drina's father introduces himself. "Right now, more important is rescuing Erina, my eldest grandchild. Alcina here is responsible for her disappearance. This will not stay unpunished. And since I'm the highest authority here, I am charged with her trial," he confidently states. "Bring her forward!" he commands. The two men drag the skinned Alcina before the King.No one recognizes the beautiful, groomed woman who used to hang out in their pack for several weeks. The clothes on her body are dirty and torn, and there is only one shoe on her foot.

The sky darkens for a few seconds before it brightens again. And then a painful scream echoes through the land. "No, no, no!" Out of the darkness, a man runs toward the Hall but throws himself halfway to the ground and bursts into heavy tears. Everyone turns their eyes from the dark sky to the man who is in deep grief. Some warriors walk toward him uncertainly and stand before him, waiting expectantly. "My King! You executed my mate!", Andre cried. "I could have made it all right. Erina is safe". Drina and Enrick now run toward Andre. But before they reach the man, Jace is already there helping him to his feet. "My little mate! Where is she? Is she all right?" "Andre! My pup! Please, where is she? We must have her here. Where did you bring her?" exclaimed Drina now. They surround him and fire all kinds of questions at him. "Alpha King! Alcina has done so much evil. As her mate, I have tried to neutralize any harm she planned.
