Amelia POV I was walking briskly back to the corner of the exit from left of the main building. Well, that is how we call it anyway. The whole downtown belongs to the King in one way or another. We have several buildings right on Wilshire to be able to assist him, including the underground tunnels where he housed some of his dragons. When I got promoted as Deputy Head of his Security team, I had to be close nonstop, as did the rest of the team. The King was a mighty warrior, and his power was unmatched, however, there were those who would hurt people around him to hurt him – as he was fiercely loyal and protective of his extended family. “Are you sure you succeeded????”, Valor boomed in my head… “Yes brother, I did. .It is a temporary tracker though, it will last but two weeks max”, I say.. “That will be enough” he cuts me off. “What did you sense???” Valor’s question came back through the link. I knew he would ask this, and for this, I was not prepared. “Well, errr… nothing. I felt

Cassius POV I sensed him before I saw him. My skin started tingling, my hands shaking. It took me few moments to compose myself and try to calm down, at least outwardly on surface. I never knew or realized that finding my mate would be this intense. The mate bond went into overdrive, all my rational thought gone. I knew I had to see him, touch him if I could. The need to hold him in my arms was waking up within me, threatening to consume me like a burning fire. As if I was guided by invisible force, the bond was pulling me towards the entry gates. Centuries – it has been centuries. I have waited for our mate for as long as I could remember, from my very first shift. The fact that he was here now was almost too good to be true, I dared not to believe it almost. It felt unreal, as if I was in a wonderful dream where my wish for a mate had finally come true. I was scared that somebody will wake me up. Thousand emotions swirled within me, almost suffocating me. His scent was overpowering

Emma POV Seeing Myra and Nicholas took away all the stress of the crazy day I have been having. We still must decide; I hear a small voice in my head, and she was right. However, I was not ready just yet. I wanted to unwind and wanted to put the uneasy feeling of this day behind me. I needed to see my friends. Pushing the work-related thoughts to the corners of my mind, I focused on seeing my friends and wanting to talk to Leo. I remembered he wanted to discuss something with me too, so it appeared like we have a lot to discuss. Walking into the restaurant, the smell of fusion aromas hit me, and I hear my stomach growl. I totally forgot I ate nothing today, and now I will make up for that mistake. The mouthwatering smells and flavors were getting to us all, as we sat down still giddy from seeing each other, excited for this moment. “Well, ladies I have some news” says Nicholas coolly. He was beaming with pride – his chocolate skin glistening with excitement. “Ok, come on, come on

Amelia POV Lord Wong was in a hurry. We went down three floors of garage space and turned into another tunnel. Next lift went deeper underground about hundred stories or so deep. We had several dragons here, and at times even the First Dragon would go to the Caves as we called them. The expansive space could easily accommodate about 100 dragons at the time, although I have never seen as many in one place. There were two juveniles with us, waiting to meet their made human. See, an interesting thing about dragons - they could be born/made three ways. The rarest dragons and most powerful are those born of two dragon shifter parents. I heard of some in the existence, but never met one. The pureblood dragons were extremely secretive and I think that only Kal knew where their nests were and who they were. The rest of the world was oblivious to the dragons in general, including our world. Second type were those who were made, and most of them were made by Kal. Gabriel was one of them. The sh

Emma POV Tears streaming down Leo’s face broke my heart and sobered me up instantly. I could not stand seeing my brother cry, it ripped my heart into million pieces. For a second, I just held his hands and looked at him intently, my heart stuck in my throat, not knowing what to say to assuage his obvious pain. I simply kissed his hands and told him I loved him. His breathing evened out, but tears were continuously streaking down his face. I reach out to wipe them, yet he tried to stop me. “Don’t! I,.. I betrayed you. Our dreams, the family, I betrayed that too. I cannot help it Emma, but I betrayed you. It’ all my fault!!!” The pain was etched on his face. I would have given my life to take it away and for that moment, I did not know what to do. I just wanted to be there for him, comfort him, do whatever he needed to, but I was stuck. “What are you talking about? What is your fault?”, I somehow managed to mutter, my heart fluttering, seeing him in pain. “I love you baby girl. You a
