It was late at night when Selena regained her consciousness. Her eyes slowly lifted open. Her head rested against the cold door of the van she had slumped against. She took short shallow breaths remembering what had happened. The giant black wolf had attacked her, heckling and shouting at her before biting into her shoulder and slashing her chest. She remembered how she had found her way behind the car while it had been hunting her, then everything had gone black. Exhausted and accustomed to the procedure, she slowly brought her right arm around and felt the bite marks around her shoulder. With a deafening screech the headlights stopped, becoming dim before turning off completely. Once off, the vehicle responsible for them became visible, it was a black sedan. Three of its doors flung open as Charlie, Annie, Sarah and Haley sprinted out, launching themselves at Selena. “You’re alive!!” Charlie cried as she wrapped her arms around her neck. “We thought it was all over!” Sarah wiped her tears on Selena’s shoulder.
