She withdrew her leg and shifted away from Tarik, but knew it was useless as he had seen them already. Tyler's face boiled with something that was definitely anger. He wouldn't, would he? Would he do what Clea was thinking he would? Her suspicion was soon confirmed. Tyler matched over and began raining blows on Tarik. This happened for ten seconds before Clea snapped out of her shock. Tyler shouted profane obscenities at Tarik, dedicated to destroying his face. He braced another punch which never landed. He pulled, but his hand remained in the air. He looked to see Clea holding his elbow."Stop!" she yelled. He pushed his hand backwards, intending to push her away. He was shocked when Clea swerved out of the way. She gathered momentum and pushed him, sending him tumbling down to the ground from the bed. She came down and stood in front of him. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?! And you!" she directed her glare at Tarik. "Why are you lying there just taking it?!" In the m

Kali Dameri was an anti-superstition person, but that wasn't because she didn't believe in the existence of supernatural entities. It was because she didn't want to acknowledge their existence. She had seen close-up the trouble that could come from supernatural entities. So she never wanted anything to do with them. Ohalo was proving to be less fun than she thought it would. So much less. She and Clea should've kept quiet when Jon protested against them coming. They should've let it go.Clea stood shock-stricken in front of her, chewing on her lower lip. She was very anxious. Considering what happened the day before, Kali was thinking she shouldn't have told her about what happened. At least, not in such explicit details. "You should go back up, Clea. Get some more sleep." "Hey! We need some hand here." They ran towards the person who called for help. Right there, two small cars arrived from the town speeding and collided with one another. "I NEED Y'ALL TO STOP BRINGING YOUR CARS!

When Clea saw the crowd outside, she understood why Tarik was reluctant to bring her to his place. It was only then she realised the magnitude of the tough situation she put him in."You okay?" Kali asked. She took Clea's hand and guided her down the wooden porch steps. "What's this on your forehead?""Just a little scratch... no biggie. I was having a great sleep.""I told the sheriff you'd be okay if we found you here and he told me I didn't know what I was saying.""Tarik Wolf."Tarik stared at the sheriff and the men gathered behind, his face an emotionless mask. The sheriff's face on the other hand was cold. Cold and filled with hate, and a tint of disgust."Come down."He stood before the sheriff. "She's okay as you can s—""Have I asked you to talk?""No... sir," his tone was mellow."The inn lady reported you to me. What was the deal? That you stay OUT of the town. OUT of the town's business. Wasn't that it? Am I mistaken?""No, sir."Clea shook her head worriedly. "I was the

"Oh God, oh God." Clea got down from the shrub. "Go—" She looked around and saw Tarik had already disappeared into the forest. "That was fast." She put on her crocs which fell when she was busy wrapping her legs around Tarik. Tried to button her pyjamas and found the buttons were no more. She facepalmed and tried to slow her breath, crouching deeper into the hiding place. The person came closer and closer, heading towards her. Clea withdrew her hand for a blow, stopping when she recognised Kali."Kali!" She stood up. "It's just you." Kali shone the torchlight on Clea."Stop.""Why is your shirt unbuttoned? Is that a hickey?"Clea held her collar together and covered her neck with her other palm. "No, it's not."Kali pointed the torchlight into the forest. "Kali!" Clea took the torchlight out of her hands. "What if you draw a wild animal towards us?" "Wild animal?" Kali laughed. "Who is the guy you were with? The one you don't love?"Clea said nothing. "That one? He's the one who

Tyler picked her up with the sheriff's jeep. On the way, he ranted about how the sheriff appreciated his help in the hospital and offered him an unoccupied house to live in during his stay. It was once home to a cop who no longer lived in Ohalo. He had cleaned it up and contacted the necessary people for repairs. The house was in a sparse area of the town. An area reserved for the cops. It was a two-bedroom bungalow.Tyler guided Clea through the overgrown bushes surrounding the house. "I already got someone to clean this up. The weeds should be gone by tomorrow."Clea smiled at the house. "Looks nice.""Yeah," he agreed. "Much better than the inn. I couldn't sleep there. It kept feeling like it was going to come apart any minute."Clea laughed. "It's not that bad.""It is.""Woah," Clea exclaimed as Tyler swept her legs off the ground, carrying her bridal-style into the house. "This is nice." She giggled. He kicked open the door to a small parlour space. By the right, upon entrance
