He raised a brow as if he didn’t know what I was talking about, “Do what?”“Close those doors?” I hiked my thumb past my shoulder to point at the doors that were closed shut. This was the second time I saw the doors closing when I tried to run. It was as if he controlled them.Spooky.He let out a mouthful sigh, “I didn’t know that you weren’t taught how to close a door. You put your hand on the handle and push it—”“I am not talking about that.” I said, annoyed with how he was playing around with me, “I know you have something to do with this.”He snickered, “Such a curious little cat. How about you sit beside me and I tell you?”“Never mind. Forget I asked.” I waved my hand in dismissal and crossed my arms over my chest, “I need to go to the washroom.”He shrugged, “Go then.” My brows shot up in surprise and for a second I thought he was allowing me to go back to my room but then he pointed his thumb at his washroom and I flushed.“I-I think I am better with using a separate washroom

His face inched closer to my face, his head angled and his lips descending on mine. Was this really happening? Or was I dreaming? He was going to kiss me!I wanted to say something, but my lips felt tight and he was too close, his warm breath falling on the bridge of my nose. I squinted my eyes closed in preparation for what was coming.A few seconds passed and nothing was touching my lips. Huh?There was a light chuckle and I opened my eyes to find Dominic staring down at me with a grin. I frowned and watched him crawl back and stand straight on the edge of the bed, his hands tucked in his trouser pant pocket.I stood upright, my small locks of hair jutting out of my bun. Was he playing with me? The thought made my nerve pop but it was better to stay quiet. His gaze held a playful charm in it and his lips moved, “You are not that good at acting, but I will give you the props for trying.” he winked and my breath hitched. He knew that I was pretending. Shit!I pursed my lips and looked

I nodded, “Ready.” “Good. Then in the count of three. One…two….three…” the moment he said three, I was handed the box and I quickly ran away from the room with the box in my hand. I could not waste my time reading the clue standing there. A door came in front of my sight in the corridor and I stepped inside it without a second thought. It was like any other room of Dominic’s. There was a huge glass window in the opposite end through which the faint sunlight filtered in, dark maroon curtains flanked the sides and a huge table stood at the west. I heard footsteps behind me and quickly hid behind the table. I should have closed the door the moment I walked in, but he would have heard it anyway. I sat on the cold, smooth floor, my back leaning against the table. I pulled the lid of the wooden box open and as said found a little folded paper kept in it. Placing the box on the floor as soundlessly as possible, I opened the paper and three sentences came into my view. Three sentences? For

He looked shocked for a minute before his face regained its composure. He asked, “Are you sure?”I nodded, “Yes.” I wasn’t scared this time to face them.He left a soft sigh and embraced me in a hug. It felt warm under his embrace. His large hand caressed my head and my tense nerves calmed down on their own.“You will no longer face this, I promise you that.” his voice was soft like his touch and the truth in it melted my heart like ice under fire. Why did it feel so safe with him?But then the image of Sam hugging me once and promising to protect me flashed in my mind. I also thought at that time that I was safe under him. But I wasn’t.I broke the hug and moved away from Dominic. He looked displeased by the action but wasn’t verbal about it. He moved closer to me, just like he did whenever he found me getting away from him, and cupped my face in his hands.I was made to stare up at his sharp eyes,“You can go back to college,” he said and my eyes widened in shock at what I heard. Di

Once I stepped in, the voices of the students stopped. A few students were sitting at the desks in the class but no teacher since it was already recess. I knew they would be here since I used to sit here with him when I was his ‘girlfriend’. The thought made me flinch inside, but I kept myself composed. “Woah, Woah! Look who decided to finally step out of her bill,” Brian’s taunting voice came from one side and the others in the group started to laugh, their eyes on me. Natalie was sitting on top of Sam’s lap, his blue eyes scrutinizing me with a frown. He did not say a word and was silent while Natalie stood up and gave me a dirty look. “Looks like you all are thick-headed. I am surprised that you two came here after what happened yesterday. Wasn’t that a good lesson enough? Or are you a masochist,” A sly smile curled up Natalie’s lips and her girl gang started to make sounds out of their mouth, Jannet spat, “We aren’t afraid of you dickheads!
