THIRTY FIVE: IT WAS YOU ALL ALONG

I nodded, “Ready.”

“Good. Then in the count of three. One…two….three…” the moment he said three, I was handed the box and I quickly ran away from the room with the box in my hand. I could not waste my time reading the clue standing there.

A door came in front of my sight in the corridor and I stepped inside it without a second thought. It was like any other room of Dominic’s. There was a huge glass window in the opposite end through which the faint sunlight filtered in, dark maroon curtains flanked the sides and a huge table stood at the west.

I heard footsteps behind me and quickly hid behind the table. I should have closed the door the moment I walked in, but he would have heard it anyway.
