Lakshmi almost forgot about the issue that was waiting for her at home, she really enjoyed spending her time with Mia and she wished Mia could come stay with them."What was the secret that you found out your parents had been keeping from you?" Mia suddenly remembered as the girls were discussing during their free period." I have a step sibling" Lakshmi was disappointed that Mia had to remember her after she had been trying her best not to think about it"That's a good thing, you have always wanted another sister or brother, is it a boy or a girl?" Mia was inquisitive.Lakshmi's POV"It's a boy, I think" I responded and Mia nodded at me, signifying that she understood what I just said."Mia, I don't think I am supposed to be happy about having a step brother. A step brother means… I was saying." I know what step brother means, it means he is the biological child of only one of your parents " Mia interrupted me and I gave her a smile, caressing her hair.

After an intensive one week training with Lakshmi, Mia was finally ready for the speed debate. It was very good for Mia since she needed to enhance her communication skill and she needed to learn how to talk faster.Somehow, Lakshmi was able to use beats to make Mia talk faster, she taught Mia how to follow the beats to talk faster."I think I'm rapping" Mia looked at Lakshmi who was in front of her."Maybe, just get out there and make me proud" Lakshmi tried to motivate Mia who clearly didn't need motivation."Okay" she shrugged and sat down with other debaters and when two had already spoken it was Alyssa's turn, for some reason Alyssa the deaf girl decided to join the contest. Mia could hardly breathe when she passed by her.So far, Alyssa had been the best speaker since she said a total of 1000 words in under 5 minutes and Mia didn't even think that was humanly possible."With all protocols duly observed my name is Mia and I am here to.." "Thief! Thief! Someone catch that little brat! She is a thief!" A fair, tall and slender lady with ebony hair kept on screaming for help as she ran after a teenage girl who kept on running without looking back. The girl was running so fast it was quite difficult for any one to see her face, one would only get a glimpse and that would be all. Caleb also got a glimpse of the girl as she ran past him like the wind, his jaw nearly dropped to the floor. He couldn't believe what he had just seen, was his eyes deceiving him or what?.Meanwhile, the girl had ran so far that she had managed to lose the lady in the crowd, the girl was breathing so heavily and she finally stopped to check if the money she had seen the lady put in her purse was still intact."Nice job, you have managed to catch a goldfish today" a lady startled the girl with her voice. She was so frightened that she dropped the purse along with the money. The lady smirked and bent down to pick up the money and t

Keren's POVMy heart wouldn't stop beating even for a second, I felt like it was going at 50 beats per second but I finally calmed down when I received a call."I have gotten the package, you will receive your payment when the boss confirms it's authenticity" a deep voice spoke to me over the phone."I'll be waiting" I hung up immediately and not too long after that I got another call."When will I get my payment? I have done the job?" Mara was being too fierce."You have to calm down. You have delivered the package but I haven't gotten any confirmation yet. When I do, trust me you will get your payment" I assured her.Mara's POVI hope this lady wasn't pulling a fast one on me because I don't understand anything she said over the phone."Mara" my mum called out to me and I turned around to look at her as I slowly put the phone down from my ear."When did you get that phone? It looks so expensive" my mom gave me a suspicious look as she walke

In a different world."Mum… my.. my.. my.. hands. look mum" Alyssa showed her trembling hands to her mother who was busy stirring a pot with a green glowing liquid."You have to calm down Alyssa or else the potion might not work" Alyssa mum was trying her best to make Alyssa think straight but she just refused to."How do you expect me to calm down! Look at my hands, they are on fire!" Alyssa shouted at her mom, earning a warning from her."I'm sorry mum but I just can't.."Alyssa was talking but her mum shut her up by pouring the hot green, glowing liquid on her hands."Oohhaa!" Alyssa just couldn't understand the kind of pain that she was feeling, but it only lasted for three minutes as the fire had quenched, the fire that even water and sand could not quench."How are you feeling now?"Alyssa's mom asked her as she kept on observing the burnt wounds on her hands."It's better now, thank you mum" she hugged her mum and then looked at her hands, she l
