I walk silently in the empty hallway. I saw no one lingering around in the corridor, the only noise I could hear is the sound of my footsteps that feels like a heavy beat inside my heart. I still can feel the burning sensation on my cheek. The slap was strong and painful, it feels like my head spin for a couple of seconds before I was drag back to reality. I guess, I really tested his patience. I reach the limit that's why he do that to me. Somehow, I understand why father is furious and at the same time frustrated. I never question him before, not even once. I am known for being an obedient daughter. But here I am now, defying his words. This misunderstanding between us is knew to me and I think it is new to him as well. He raised me as if I am his real daughter. He show me kindness and consideration. He gave me family I can lean on. He molded me to become a strong woman, someone who will never back down in any fight. I don't know what does love means because I live in darkness f

There is a long silence between us. Enzo didn't dare to speak and just focus on driving, eyes fixed on the road. While I am looking out of the window, my heart is heavy, and there is a lump inside my throat. I felt like crying, maybe because I feel guilty with what I did to my father. I turn my back at him just like what I did to Apollo. I didn't listen to him. I just hope he didn't hate me because of my disobedience... The car halted but before I could unfasten my seatbelt, my phone inside the pocket of my jeans vibrate. I bit my lower lip already expecting what would be the name of the caller. Carefully, I pulled out my phone. I puff out a breath when I saw the name flash on the screen. Just like what I thought... "Who's that?" Enzo ask when he sense my hesitation to answer the call. My lips curved into a smile and wave my phone in front of him. "My clingy husband" I chuckle. "You two seems in a good relationship huh" he teased, wanting to lighten up the mood. I smile even mo

"Vincer is here" I open my eyes when I heard the cheerful voice of Pierro as he enter the dining room with Vincer. I smile to the both of them as they take their seats. We continue eating, Pierro and Nicolai are talking nonsense things. Sometimes, Sain engage in a conversation but most of the times he is focus on his food which made me worry him a bit. "Are we going home already?" I ask while fixing the table. Sain is helping me as well as one of the lady helper who insist she can take care of it for me. I never tried doing household chores but I am easy to learn. I am slowly adapting with my life as Sain's wife that's why I am slowly trying to do some households. "As much as possible, I want us to go home" he utter in a low voice, eyes fix on the plate. He is seriously arranging it in a very careful manner as if he's afraid to break it. I shake my head and look at the lady helper who's staring at Sain. "I suggest you rest first" I walk towards him and get the plates. I handed

"We will visit my parents tomorrow, am I right?" I confirm as we walk inside the mansion. Sain gaze down at me, arm on my back while his hand is on my waist. Somehow, I used to this kind of moment. I get used on how he touches me, on how he look at me, and on how he talk to me. Human intimacy was hard to explain before. I don't even know how does it feels like because I am distance to people. I am someone who needs in the shadow of my name to prove my worth. But since I become Sain Czar's wife, I learn how does it feels like. Human warmth could give you comfort. A simple embrace can make you feel safe. Even just a simple touch of our fingers is enough to make me feel at ease. That's how powerful human intimacy. Sain Czar made me experience that. His tender touch, his tantalizing words that meant to seduce me. All of those is part of his intimacy that expose my vulnerability. "I don't think I can come with you" he carefully replied. My forehead creased as we stop walking. I conf

I walk inside the Castania's mansion with a plastered smile on my face. Despite the bad dream that ruined my sleep last night, I have something to look after this day. Well, I would be hypocrite if I say that I don't like that dinner date idea. I am excited to it honestly. I wonder what was Sain thinking the past few days why he suddenly plan us to dine outside. The smile on his face inside says it all. He is planning something which I assume that he was giving me surprise. Well, I don't want to assume too much but I already anticipate that it would be a romantic dinner date if ever. And that makes me in a good mood. I breath calmly as I step on the living room, but the smile on my face disappear when I was greeted by Mrs. Castania. I slightly creased my forehead seeing her serious expression. She is aware that I'm going to visit today that's why I am not surprise that she is waiting for me, what I don't understand is why is she giving me that look? I mean, that look as if I did som
