Chapter One: Come Back Home, Eli. Copyright © 2022 by Honeybeehive All rights reserved. Thanks for reading. Eli's POV “Yes, yes. Mom. I know. I will come back. But I am yet to finish up what I want to do.” I said, using my shoulders to hold my phone in place as I cut through the pink ribbon. I was going to be getting a contract of a particular wedding event and yet my mother won't let me rest. “I know you will, but you have been deliberately ignoring your brother's call.” She said and I paused for a second at what she said. My brother. He… Standing upright with my teeth grinding against each other, I swallowed down the lump of so many swear words, “Mother, Jace and I have nothing to talk about. Moreover, he is living his life and I am also doing the same. He was against my job and I am against his calls, you see. We are even.” I said, going back to the cutting the ribbon. I could hear her sigh and I knew she must be exhausted from trying to get me to talk to my elder brother but

Chapter Three: It Was A Trap After All Eli's POV My lips hung open as I tried to understand what was sent. I spoke to mother the other day and she said nothing of dad's sudden illness. Why was this happening now? I turned to look at Ashley. “Maybe it is high time you went home.” She said and I tried not cry at the sudden breakdown I was having. “I… I… I don’t know at all. I have a lot of things to do here. I can…” “Eli! You can't what? You can't leave when your own father is dying. C'mon, you have to go.” She said and I stared at the window for a while before looking away. Picking my phone, I dialed my mother’s number and she was not picking. It must be really urgent. “okay, I will take the first flight going to Great Dane tomorrow. But after I am done, I will come back. This is too sudden.” I rambled. Ashley sighed and placed her hand on my shoulders. “No one is more important than the people that birth you.” She said with a soft expression and I swallowed the huge lump in my

Daphne was going to get married. Even though I don’t really know her, who ever she must be getting married to

Chapter Seven: I will never be YoursElisabeth’s POVI saw him. I shook his hands. I felt the currents. I felt the fear all over again. Everything in the past came rushing over again. He looked different. He looked more mature than the guy I had left – ran away from. Yet he pretended not to have known me. He pretended like he was not speaking to the girl he had broken. And I played my part too by pretending not to know him. But I could not stop myself from being affected by his presence. His presence dominated more authority than it did years back but still, I cowered in submission. Still, I remembered the guy I had fallen in love with and had promised me a future we had both dreamed of and never realized. And here he was building it with another woman. I should not be heartbroken. Heck, I should not even be affected but meeting him brought back memories I have buried deep in me and I hated my every bit of showing any reaction to him. The way his warm hands fitted right into my cold

Elisabeth's POVI used to think the veil was used to add more suspense to the wedding air. I thought it was used to keep the bridegroom on his toes as he awaits his bride but I could finally see the reason. The veil was used to hide whatever pain lay beneath. Whatever shadow was hovering over the face of the bride. As I approached the door with Claude following behind me, dread filled my chest.I wish I had the power to turn back time and I would not have even bothered to take the contract. The door was pushed open and everyone turned their heads towards me. My heart jumped to my throat and I had to gulp hard. I was a wedding planner and I have always stayed behind the scenes to make sure things went well but I have never been the main POV where everyone will look at me with some kind of expectancy. I never imagined myself to be in that POV anytime soon at all but now… Alex stood at the altar with the priest and watched me.His eyes were etched on me the whole time I used to walk down
