"Poor Ryuho..." Aito mumbled. "He must have suffered a lot these five years..." Aito now realised why Ryu had cried and hugged him like that. He felt even worse.Kaito's brow twitched. 'Poor Ryuho?' he thought, giving Aito a complicated look. 'The person you should pity is yourself!'But Aito felt an even stronger urge to go back to Ryu.Yasu smiled. Surely, one can't completely run away from their own fate. No matter how carefully they planned or how hard they tried to keep them away from each other, Aito and Ryu still met. Without their knowledge. Aito had gone to see Ryu on his own and none of them knew about it.The secret they had successfully kept from Ryu for five years was now exposed by Aito himself. All that was left was for Aito to regain his memories. If at all he would. Dissociative amnesia could cause permanent memory loss of a specific time or person. Yasu felt it would be better if Aito doesn't remember at all. That way, Ryy could start all over with Aito and they woul

Yasu nodded. "He has what is called Dissociative Amnesia. It is a condition in which a person cannot remember important information about their life. It may be limited to specific areas or part of the person's life history or even identity. Most patients forget memories that cause them pain or stress or they forget memories that could endanger their lives. For Aito, you and Aera caused him the most pain and memories about you two made him mentally unstable so his brain blocked them out, enabling him to live a normal happy life. This change can either be temporary or permanent. In Aito's case, I think it could be permanent because it's been five years but he hasn't remembered a thing"The food became odourless and tasteless once again for Ryu. The appetite he had built up completely diminished and he dropped his chopsticks on his bowl. The news was a crushing blow to his heart. He never thought Aito would suffer from amnesia. He never thought his memories with Aito would be so painful

"Hello!" Aito said cheerfully and Ryu's heart skipped a beat. He felt like his entire body was submerged in warm soothing water and he felt completely at ease. Aito's voice had grown a bit deep. It was smooth and enchanting with a tone of sweetness. It was melodious and Ryu felt like he could listen to it all day. His chest grew stuffy and he wanted to cry but he held back. Instead, his eyes were completely red. Ryu moved closer to the phone, wanting to drink in every word, every tone."What's up Aito? How are you and your brothers?" Yasu asked."We're good. TJ and Toshiro are here too" he answered. There was a bit of rustling then Aito spoke again. "Here TJ. Talk to Doc""Doc!" TJ shouted over the phone. He sounded very happy and excited."Hey TJ! How are you?" Yasu asked.Ryu scrunched up his face a bit. He didn't want to listen to Toshiro's baby speak. But then, he knew he couldn't rush things. Patience was the key."Cool!" TJ shouted. "Baby is good too!"Confused, Yasu asked, "Who

Ryu wasn't surprised by Toshiro's behaviour. In fact, he was expecting it. He just wondered how Toshiro grew the courage to speak to him like that. "Yasu invited me over for dinner" he explained, looking civil. He didn't want to create a scene in front of Aito. He was sure that the first impression he gave Aito was a bad one and he didn't want the second to be worse. "I'm here to apologise to Aito"Hearing Ryu mention his name, the Yamaguchi brothers hopes were flushed down the drain. It was evident. Ryu already knew Aito was alive. If not, he would have been shocked to see Aito before him now.Aito felt a bit queasy in the stomach. "Me?" he asked, slightly surprised. Wasn't he the one planning to apologise to Ryu?"We don't a give a fuck about your stupid apology" Toshiro sneered. "You have no right to be here or see Aito. Get the fuck out!""Toshiro!" Yasu snapped, standing up. "Ryu is our guest and don't forget, business partner. Mind your manners""Fuck manners!" Toshiro shouted.

Yasu didn't want it to happen. Not yet anyway. "Ry-" Ryu held up a hand and Yasu reluctantly kept quiet. "It wasn't just Toshiro. A bunch of your old friends were involved too. My sister went to your school and things happened. You know, high school bullying and stuff. Next thing, she took her own life. I was mad and so was my father. Our plan was to avenge her. An eye for an eye" Aito couldn't believe it. His own friends, involved with murder "B-But-""But we didn't go through with it. Toshiro is alive as you can see" Ryu continued. "He's just still mad that I tried to kill him" "Well that was five years ago, Aito" Kento said, wanting to end the whole thing that Toshiro started. He also knew that Aito could overthink the whole issue so he wanted to smoothen things up first. "Obviously, Ryuho, who was actually wronged, has already let go of the tragedy that befell his sister. Being cordial while in the same room as Toshiro has proved that. The only person with issues is Toshiro him
