56. A Love Like Ours
Waking up the following day in a bungalow with white curtains as the wall was like sleeping outside. After five years of marriage, it felt like this was his first time. Copeland experienced a feeling of pure contentment and relief. The contentment came from having his wife sleeping naked in his arms. The relief was because he could finally admit he'd been waiting for something to go wrong. He'd worried all these years about how his family, friends, fans, and Country truly felt about his actions. He'd worried Tameka would wise up and realize she could do better. But, instead, Copeland was concerned about, well, everything. But none of the things he'd worried about had come to fruition, and now he is still married to the only woman he'd ever loved, with Copeland jr. and twins. So, speaking of children, they needed to get up, head back to the vacation house, and relieve the family, who'd been good enough to take care of the kids so they could have their wedding night to themselves.
