52. The Apartment Is Not Home

Months later:

Life for Tameka after the press conference still wasn't easy. Even though the reporters no longer camped out in front of their apartment complex. Tameka still had to be careful. Every time she went to work or the store, fans rushed in her direction to take pictures.

Some shouted. "Hey! Girl! From the other side of the tracks! Copeland belongs to us! Go back to where you belong!"

One time coming from work, Tameka had to run to her car as a large group of girl fans chased her down the street. She was shaken when she got home, and Copeland saw it. "Sweetie, are you okay?!"

"No, please, can I be alone?" Copeland caressed her on the back and then left her alone. Later that night in bed. Tameka says, "Huna, are you sleeping?"

"Not yet. Why?" Copeland turned to face her as Tameka lay in his arms and told him what happened earlier today.
