Semua Bab Resisting him : Bab 41 - Bab 50

Fairy tales are fun. And horrible at the same time. They give you a dream, a perfect picture. They say that no matter what, there will always be a Prince Charming to save your life. Prince Charming will send a search party for you, with your shoe as the only clue. Or he will fight all the monsters and kiss her to wake her up. Or else, free her from the ivory tower full of witches. When I told Pierre to kiss me to wake me up, I didn't really mean it. I didn't expect him to kiss me at all. But that's exactly what he did. The sweet softness of his lips touched mine and his husky voice woke me up. - Wake up. I groaned. — Jennifer. - Go away. I murmured, snuggling into his chest. — Jennifer. Pierre said again, the firmness in his voice. “Wake up or I'm going to throw cold water on you. I opened one eye and looked at him. - What's your problem? Pierre looked amused. "You're not a morning person, are you?" I groaned. - Stop talking. And turn off those damn lights. H

The future is scary. And when you know what the future holds, maybe it's even scarier. Just knowing doesn't mean acceptance becomes easier. Death is always lurking. Waiting for us, trying to kiss us until the climax comes. Pierre looked at me like I was crazy. And maybe I deserved that look. What was I saying? miracles? But that was the first thing that came to my mind. “The doctor gave you limited days, Jennifer. Pierre said, his face grim. “I don't really believe in miracles right now. I bit my tongue. I shouldn't have said that. That was the wrong thing to say. “I'm sorry, Pierre. I was just trying to make you feel better. “That doesn't make me feel any better, Jennifer. It just makes everything worse. Pierre turned to me. - I'm sorry. I whispered. Pierre looked at me, anger shining in his eyes. "Does saying make it easier?" Nothing will make it any easier. Tears threatened to fight their way down my face at the way he was talking to me, but I knew I had t

His death affected me more than I thought it would. He had become something of a son to me. I could still remember his funeral. As if it were a movie. A real movie right in front of me. “You need to control yourself. Pierre turned to me. “Lock your thoughts. - I'm sorry. I whispered. Pierre's face instantly softened. “I know Andreas' death hasn't been easy, but he wouldn't want you stuck in our room for a week, would he? I shrugged. “Come on, Jennifer! Pierre sighed, exasperated. - Get out. My eyes widened. - Which? - We're going out. Go take a shower and come back. I want you dressed in an hour and a half, or God help me... - I do not want to go out! — I protested. - I don't mind. Pierre looked at me. “We're leaving now. Or else, I'll call Adrian. - No! I almost screamed. - I will. The last time Pierre called Adrian, he literally pulled me out of bed and threw me into the icy spray of the shower. - I'll make the coffee. Pierre smiled at me. - Wear so

When your past meets the present, a confrontation is inevitable. But when your past meets your present and that present is a possessive, boastful, arrogant gazillionaire, confrontation becomes an understatement. Pierre's hand instantly went around my waist, pulling me closer to him. My eyes met his and I saw the fire in them. — Hi Scott. I smiled uncomfortably at him. “I was in the area so I thought I'd see your parents. And of course, I wanted to see her. My breath caught when Pierre's hand pressed hard on my waist. I felt him tense up. - See me? - Yea. - Scott smiled. — I saw the press release. It felt so surreal. — Oh. “I grimaced. That's why he was here. Because I was suddenly famous and my photo was trending all over the world? An awkward silence filled the room. I was suddenly aware that all eyes were on me. "Aren't you going to introduce me?" Pierre asked, his voice huskier than ever. I knew right away that I shouldn't play around on the job. “This is Sc

All this in the hope that you never see the person again. And there's the rainbow and the morning sun. Where you cuddle with your partner. Every little whisper makes you smile, and the sun's rays aren't that annoying. Your heart is in ecstasy when you know you are in love, and you feel that nothing will ever replace that feeling. I've been staring at the ceiling of Pierre's vast bedroom for about an hour now. I couldn't sleep no matter how hard I tried and then we were bathed in the soft glow of the lights outside.
