UneditedThe runes that Soraya had drawn on the floor began to glow faintly which meant the search for Wesley’s whereabouts is working just as we thought. However, unlike before, the glow was steadily faint and it does look like it’s going to take a long while. Diwata, Norman and I watched carefully and curiously as Soraya continued to repeat the same words over and over again. At the certain amount of time that she had been blabbering the same words, I’m already starting to recognize a few of them. After about five minutes, the lights inside the room spontaneously began flickering until it eventually went out dimming the room. Soraya stopped her incantation though she was still on the ground seemingly in a frozen state. Just when I was about usher my way to check on Soraya, I heard the door suddenly opened only for a familiar face to show up. “Ysabella?” I was mo

Idris ran towards Yannick as well and as they met half-way, I saw a clashing exchange of punches and kicks. Each one of them was agile and strong enough to either dodge or block every attack. However, Idris was successful at swinging his claws and it scratched Yannick’s face. Yannick flinched for a second and my eyes saw blood flowing out of his jaw but it was for nothing. The wound quickly healed up just like how I cut my own palm and how it quickly stitched itself back. Idris took the small timeframe to punch Yannick by the chest sending him right thudding towards the hard ground. “ROGER!!!” Out of the blue, I heard a woman screaming from behind Idris. It was Soraya and while she doesn’t look much surprised, I was the one who was surprised. How did she found us here? The school building is way far from here and she couldn’t possibly run as fast in those long skirt. Idris turned around to s

unedited“Why are there so many people going missing in this town this past week?” My dad inquired, his eyes were glued on the newspaper. “And they’re all younger people.” Why does every dad loves reading the newspaper especially when they reach their forty’s? I just can’t imagine myself in dad’s position right now. I don’t even see myself becoming a dad at all. “Maybe they just got tired of their lives here and decided to run away.” My mom replied and I thought she must be on something with her judgmental reply. I knew she was looking at me trying to inspect my reaction. I don’t want to conclude that she’s thinking I’m tired of my life here too. She might be right about that though. I’m too close to getting tired, however, it’s been over two weeks since something life-threatening happened and ever since then, nothing m

not editd When we finally set afoot at the public high school which was just off the road, I started to feel a little bit anxious and somehow conscious of myself. There are surprisingly a lot of students flooding from every direction, some of them are jumping out of their bicycle, most of them are coming in groups and by twos and they all looked as if they knew each other ever since. I find it relatively dreadful to be showing up way too early and it’s for a fact that everybody would notice the new face that’s me. This was just a small town and I’m pretty sure everyone knew each other. It is beyond my conscious state that I combed my wavy hair using my fingers fixing it to one side. I haven’t felt this conscious of how I look and I wished I would’ve gotten a nice haircut right before coming here, a nice faded cut would make me feel confident at the very least. I also readjusted my denim jacket to feel a little b

When lunch finally came, I found myself sitting right next to Yoseff. Ysabella and Benjie were surprisingly back to normal after what happened earlier this morning. “I told you, my sister’s a bitch but she can’t go a full day without Benjie.” Yoseff whispered keeping it so low so that his sister won’t hear him.“Yeah, I saw that.”“By the way, did you even take a shower?” Yoseff asked. That’s it, he found out that I was the one who smelled like a wet dog.“I did, why?”“Nothing,” He replied not wanting to say anything but I could read his face and he looked disgusted by the smell. Nothing much happened during lunch except for Ysabella being an absolute cunt. She, along with Charlotte and Florence kept on reading everyone else as if they’re the most perfect people in this school. Somehow, I’m able to make sense of Esmera

“It’s okay, man. Go hang out with the cool kids.” Norman let out, his tone came out pretty depressing.“But…” I was just deciding to stay with him but the guy just came over behind me.“Come have lunch with us, just leave this emaciated Harry Potter wannabe alone.” He grabbed me by the shoulder and the next thing I know I was having lunch with the popular kids. “My name’s Reginald Durst.” The dark-skinned guy uttered introducing himself towards me. “They call me Reggie.”“Hi, I’m Ysabella Hendricks.” The blonde woman sitting right next to the tall guy who I was thinking to be Benjie mouthed. “And this is my boyfriend, Benjamin Arlington.” She pulled her boyfriend’s arm closer towards her. The guy truly had muscular arms and it seemed that he’s been staying at the gym for quite a long while.“Nice to meet you,

I was finally able to control my own curse. I managed to let out my fangs and claws most probably because of the desire to protect my friends. I can’t let him kill Wesley. Judging by the looks of things, Wesley might not survive whatever Yannick was planning to do.I was more than ready to go head to head with Yannick even if he looked way stronger that I am. I don’t know if I have the right amount of strength to go on par with him but I’m going to try anyway.“GrAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!” I growled and lunged towards him.Yannick was just as agile now when compared to the very first time I first saw him fight with Idris. He managed to dodge my first attack and then the second. He was just dodging every move that I was making until I became exhausted.“You’re too slow, Roger. It seemed that all that Idris has taught you was how to move slow.” Yannick muttered.Still keeping my eyes pinned on Yannick, I was breathing heavily. He began rushing towards where I was standing and he was moving swiftl

Am I going to make new friends today? Are there any pretty girls around the school that might catch my attention? Do they love drinking and partying? I know I love to have fun and that was sort of my life back in Birmington, probably one of the reasons why I didn’t want to move here in the first place. I don’t have any high expectations about this place but I might be wrong. “Hey there, neighbor!” I heard a voice calling for my attention. I looked to my side to see a slim guy wearing glasses approaching my way. Great, so much for a cliché but my neighbor is the nerd guy who loves to wear loose t-shirts and doesn’t have a good sense of hairstyle. “Hey,” I replied faking a smile.“Finally, there’s a new guy in town.” He uttered finally catching up to me. “This town’s becoming pretty boring. It’s always the same person year after yea

“Where am I?” Waking up, the feeling was pretty much familiar. My body was aching as I felt extremely dehydrated. My throat felt lumpy and dry and my voice came out hoarse as if I had a long night of drinking. I tried propping myself up but the throbbing agony coming from my wound made things impossible.“Hey, hey, calm down, kid. You don’t have get up, just lay there and let me patch up your wounds again.” Mr. Lykaios rushed my side. In contrast to his imposing tone in class, his voice was now gentle though the commanding aura was still present.“My body hurts.” I groaned feeling the aching in every muscles of my body.“I took you home because I couldn’t risk to take you to the hospital.”“What happened?” I was trying to remember what just happened earlier and I’m sure as hell that I’m conscious when everything happened and yet now, I couldn’t b

Throughout many moon cycles, my father had gradually accumulated his feeling of unbridled disappointment and somehow, a hidden resentment towards me. Perhaps that’s the reason why I slowly learned how to intentionally throw each fight. For a while it became my hidden signature move to throw my combat training no matter who I’m against with. Whether it’s my father, his luna, his delta, his former beta, or just any other werewolf in training. I despised the taste of winning or the taste of being looked up to or the feeling of being perceived as strong and powerful. It makes me sick to see other people cheer for my success when it was all a fluke. I’ve always had this hidden feeling inside of me that I’m not supposed to be where I was, that I’m not supposed to be the son of a strong and vicious alpha. Before I became dad’s second in command, Bryner Luke was the one holding the position. Bryner Luke was
