When the semester was finally over, Taylor and I began our search for an apartment. We first looked near the University circle but to no luck, there was no available at this moment. We drove around the area, well, it was Taylor who drove her car, while I sat beside her, looking around. We tried to check the apartments posted in the bulletin in school but we didn't like it. I also tried looking online. There are a few who are ready for checking so we're going there. It was my first time hunting for an apartment. All my life, I lived with my family in our home back in our town. It was the best because I was with them all the time. But time is quickly passing by and now I'm an adult. It makes me nervous as to what could be the life ahead of me. But I guess that's just normal."I guess we're here," Taylor mumbled as she pulled over in front of an apartment complex with a gold gate. Just looking at it from the outside makes me feel excited. It looked so great from here, what about the insi

Flint is on a vacation with his family. After the failed official introduction with my family, I tried to set a date so we could finally tell them about us. But things seemed to always get in the way. So I just let fate decide for us. They’ll meet him if it’s the right time. Both Taylor and I decided to stay here at the apartment during the semester break. I don't want to go home because I'll be looking for a part-time job. I already told my parents about it and they even wanted to help me. They said they could call some friends and get me in, but I declined. I wanted to find a job on my own. Maybe if I can't find anything, then I'll ask for their help. Taylor, on the other hand, didn't also go home because she didn't want to. She said that she doesn't want to be around her dad and stepmom so she'll be staying here and will probably do some commissions. I wish I could also accept commissions related to writing, but I don't think it works the same for arts."Are you going job-hunting t

As a celebration for my achievements, we decided to have dinner at our apartment. It was just me, Flint, Taylor, and Sean. Taylor and I attempted to cook, but the outcome is either overcooked or not tasty at all. So in the end, we just decided to order some deliveries since we also don't want to go out because it rained the entire day."I told you it's gonna do well," Flint said while we were eating. Just minutes ago, The Dawn of Love finally reached a million reads. My editor emailed me of the good news, and said that my pay will reflect anytime now and I can withdraw it some time after it reflects. I was so happy about it because I really thought nobody would read it. Apparently, it just needs a little time."Thank you," I replied. Flint really believed in me and my writing and it makes me really happy. It was just a hobby, but now it's also giving me money, so it's really a win for me. And then there's my admin job at school. I'm sure I'll be able to save some money before the next

Days passed by so quickly. My last duty at the admin office was yesterday and now I'm just here at the apartment, resting and preparing myself for the upcoming semester.I've already applied for the scholarship that I was eyeing and received a reply that I passed. This semester, I'm officially a scholar which means that my parents don't have to pay for my tuition. It was a really big help especially that Dahlia will be in college soon. Mom and Dad were happy about the news. I didn't tell them I applied for the scholarship. I just told them that my average qualified and I just thought of applying.I also received the news that I was one of the students who got a high GWA for the first semester. In the first week of classes, there will be an activity to be held for those outstanding students. Certificates will be handed out and parents are invited. I thought it wasn't that huge of a deal for my parents because they've been doing it ever since I started going to school. They pretty much

"Hi!" I happpily greeted. It took a few seconds before Flint looked my way. When he did, he then smiled."Hey," he murmured. I scowled a little when I realized that there was tension between him and Bailey. I don't know what's up. I just know something doesn't sit right with them.I tried to dismiss it though. Maybe it was just me reading too much into the situation. "Hey, we have a new applicant," I said smilingly. I then turned to Bailey and smiled at him. "This is Bailey. He's a transferee and we have the same major! He's interested in joining the Weekly Report," I mumbled."Hey," Bailey mumbled. He offers his hand for a handshake. Flint took it as he introduced himself."I'm Jasmine's boyfriend," he said."And the Weekly Report's layout artist," I added."Great. Nice to meet you," Bailey mumbled."Ditto," Flint said. He then turned to me. "Are you still needed here?" He queried."Yeah, I guess. Eya will be alone if I leave," I replied."Oh, no. It's okay. You can go, lovers. The
