Chapter one hundred and thirty. Nicholas's POV. I wait. Wait for some more seconds. A few more seconds, and I'd do what I wanted to. Cole Hunter is getting closer to me, and I just wait for him. When I see that he is so near, I release another thunder from the sky. Iris blue lit up the sky, giving a dangerous spark. It soon began to turn towards him, and when he saw it, he quickly changed positions. When I see that he has been forced to divert, I use that as a chance to change my route as well. I grab him by the neck and rip one side of his neck with my claws. He screams within a second from the pain, but is quick to regain his stance. Shifting away from me, I want to quickly turn towards him again and attack him when he hits his hand on the ground and the earth beneath me turns into a liquid that it starts to swallow. I couldn't run anymore, no matter how hard I tried. When I see that I'm sinking into the ground, I bend the sky once again, erupting another sort of lightning t

Chapter one hundred and thirty three. Nicholas's POV. I have just witnessed the Hunter King kill him, making the job of getting him out of my way very easy. There are some things about the supernatural creatures, brought about by our rules and the nature of life, that make some things really absurd when you think about them.If the Hunter King was one who didn't follow the rules of hunting, or whatever the name of that book of law was that they followed, he could have waited for him to become a vampire, and with having been a hunter before, he'd only be a hybrid that way. And although he would become one of the weakest hybrids ever since the combination of the bite would cause a contraction between his hunting spirit and the dead mind of a killing spirit, But that apart, it would give him enough power over me, as a hybrid, to kill me faster, and there, he has achieved what he wanted to. And afterward, he will kill himself if he feels he doesn't want to be fed by anyone. But he would

Chapter one hundred and thirty five. Anastasia's POV. Although we have been running ever since the time we ran from the Kjmgdom, strangely enough, I remain quite energetic. We are in the middle of a clearing, and it is midmorning. The sky is beginning to clear. I can see the sun coming up when I stare up at the sky. There are a few dark clouds up there, which tells me there's a chance the storm might be coming in sooner than later.Anyway, to focus on what I see in front of me, Since I've been in the Kingdom, I didn't know that winter has grown this much. I am standing on small stones, spread out in the clearing, and surrounding us are mountains, not very tall but enough to block our sight from what is ahead. And in front of me is a fairly dry bay from where Luna Daciana is drinking. I find it a little disgusting, but then, maybe because she is a werewolf, she doesn't find it too disturbing. I mean, she doesn't even know if it's poisonous to her stomach linings. Anyway, maybe she

Chapter one hundred and seven. Anastasia's POV In the last few minutes since we've been here, resting, I have come near the fire to warm myself up. There is no snow falling here, but the cold is not comforting at all. By the way, there is a lake across from where we are sitting, and it's also bringing in mosquitoes around here. Anyway, apart from that and the cold, I think I'm a little okay. My mind is even at rest from all the running since yesterday night. At this point, a part of me believes that we cannot be found by Nicholas's men any more. We have distanced ourselves from the kingdom a lot. I caught Luna staring at me for the second time, and I think I just should speak out right now. "Why are you staring at me like that...or sort of glaring?" I ask a question, and she chuckles almost instantly. She isn't trying to lie, and she isn't, as she only finds it funny when I don't. I'm rather frowning, confused. "I am glaring at you." "That is offensive to say, right?" I say m

Chapter one hundred and thirty nine. Anastasia's POV. In a few minutes, we arrive in front of the door to my room. I smile at Luna Daciana as I turn to face her. By the way, I've been touching the pendant since without even noticing, as the tingling sensation would come in occasionally. At this point, I believe that it isn't coming from my head anymore, but I don't even think of complaining to her. "So, I guess I should leave you to your own space." She says, and I nod my head, affirming her. "Thanks, again, for today, and I'm so happy to be here, regardless of all that I said earlier." I refer back to what I said back in the storage room. She rolls her eyes as she waves me off with her left hand. "Don't sweat it." And with that, she clears her throat and takes one step backwards, away. "Sleep well, Anastasia.""Nighty night, Luna Daciana."She pouts. "Nah, we aren't back to doing that." What do I say? "We are Ana-mates." When she says that, I laugh. Does that even make sense?
