Chapter 1

Elena povThe room is dark except for a light at the furthest end of the room. A small lamp is lit in the window behind some dark heavy curtains, and I try to adjust my eyes to the darkness.My head is pounding hard and I have to take my hands up to my head and just hold it, whatever I have been drugged with I'm defenseless this way. Elena povI'm pressing my body as close I can to the wall and trying to make it as small as possible. Whoever he is there isn't anything good about him that I'm sure off.For every step, he takes closer to me my heart takes an extra beat. Elena povA man is standing in the doorway with a big cloak over him. Cover his whole face and I can't see how he looks. He stands there for a second before he takes fast steps over to where I am. I try to push back against the wall while I hold the curtain around me tight."Get dressed quickly!" He says and holds some clothes out in front of me. Elena povI'm bolting through bushes and small trees trying to run as fast as I can while I make my way through the forest. I don't hear anyone behind me but don't dare to stop and look around.My lungs are burning and I feel how my legs begin to get tired. I'm starting to have a hard time making sure I don't trip and fall over something. Elena povIt's pitch black all around me in the room, I hear another heavy breathing and I know I'm not alone in here.My breath hitches in my body when I see his yellow frightening eyes on the other side of the room!My heart beats hard in my chest and I feel my pulse in my ears when he slowly starts to move forward toward me. I try to move my hands and feets but I'm tied to the bed and can't move. Elena povI keep bolting through alleys and between houses on my run. My lungs start to hurt really bad when I come to a dark alley and just have to get some rest.hiding inside I take cover behind a dumpster and try to listen if anyone follows behind me.I'm shaking in fear and I know it's probably stupid to be this scared for nothing!I have no idea who I accidentally bumped into on my way out from the station and the man who barked out stop was most definitely not shouting at me. Elena povThe sound is coming from my right and I peek behind the bushes I'm hiding behind, ready to run if I have to.Turning my head I look for the easiest way to escape from here and where it could be a safe place to hide.I often try to avoid running right into gardens and between houses but it has happened that I need to escape through them.It has happened more than once that I have been forced to run for my life with men chasing me.
