##Everybody's gone surfin'Surfin' U.S.A.##Who the heck is listening to The Beach Boys?!I heard a light whistle singing to the song besides me and I chose to keep my eyes wide shut.Unfortunately, not even the Beach Boys could stop me from seeing the ongoing nightmare I faced a week ago.Ghosts and monsters? They don't exist, right? Then why did I end up being chased by one?{A/N This is a very long flashback that's cut into parts, so bear with me.}[...Flashback Part 1...]I was in my garden exercising my powers. Powers? Yes, I have powers I've had them since I turned the age of eight. I was freaked out at first, after I accidentally brought back the dead class rabbit to life. I don't know how I did that, but a short spark came out of my hand.I was so scared to tell anyone but eventually, my late grandma found out. She told me that I'd inherited a rare gene that ran in the family.I wasn't like the rest of the kids.I never fell ill or got any coughs or colds. I always considered

I heard him taking a sniff at my head and neck making my heart spike in an alarm. "Hmm, is that perfume you got on Kavya?" "Umm, sure?" I didn't wear perfume perhaps it was the shampoo he smelt from my hair wash earlier. He gave me another strong sniff at my neck, making me a little freaked out and nervous at what he was doing. "Ok Eww! What was that?" "Sorry sunshine, it's your scent, it's quite unique." Ok, he's acting weird around me. Was that a compliment? I couldn't even tell. More importantly! " Whatever. Look [sighs]. What do you mean you're putting me in the trunk?!" I squirmed on him, and Mark put me down on the ground. I quickly removed the blindfold, staring up at him angrily. "I know you're upset. But where I'm taking you, I can't let anyone see that I'm bringing you there. It's sort of like a classified place." He explained, making me stop glaring at him. "Classified? Like area 51?" "Not exactly like that Roseville." He mused making me roll my eyes. "Oh my g

Kavyaa sensed an odd energy around her, when she followed the man with the short deep red ponytail. She noted that he got quite well with Mark when the two talked amongst themselves in different languages she hadn't heard before. It was a cross between Italian and Spanish. He was tall perhaps around 6'1 and wore a deep silver suit, and looked around in his late twenties. Jaxson had a charming smile to him however as he walked them down the hallway, she couldn't help but feel a sense of danger that surrounded them. Weird, why could she sense the presence of animals, when non were insight? Her Apsara senses were no doubt on edge tonight, and she was secretly thankful that her headaches were under control tonight. She noted that many paintings on the walls were of wolves and portraits of people dating back five centuries ago. The estate they were in was huge indeed. It had many rooms and corridors. There was no doubt she'd get lost in here. This place was like a maze and looked qu

"What the hell?" She lowly murmured under her breath. Ethan grinned smugly as he secretly played around with her. So what if he couldn't beat him on a physical or mental level? He could always have fun with his little lamb whilst he was away. He noted that the girl was trying to catch him out, which was odd since normal humans couldn't sense them so quickly. M: Stop messing around Ethan! E: I'm sorry, it's just fun seeing her so confused. "You feeling cold Mia?" Mark noticed her rubbing her arms through her thin burgundy cardigan. "No.." She replied trying to look behind her once more. Just then a bolt of lightning struck and flashed across the room. A horrific face suddenly came into her vision. Kavyaa landed her eyes upon another man and she held in her scream as his face came into view. Startled by his sudden appearance, she quickly took a step back only to accidentally hit something at the back that she forgot was there. The sound of it wobbling from the table made Kavyaa

I got off the bus with the rest of the school kids. I kind of felt weird since I had never worn a school uniform before. Not even at my old school. Mark had gifted me this school uniform along with my other gifts which made me raise a brow. I scoffed looking at it. I had a white dress shirt, followed by a grey blazer sporting the school logo of the golden bow (representing the greek demi-god the school was named after) on the right side of the pocket. I had a red plaid skirt and a red tie to match it. I also had some simple black shoes to go with it thanks to Mark. I don't know how he managed to get my size, but I'm just glad everything fit. Before he left home last night he gave me a few of my other gifts. I was shocked to see a pocket knife and a taser. I raised a brow at him. 'What's this?' 'Your special gifts. Keep them safe and keep them out of sight and have them with you at all times Kavyaa.' He was the only person in this town who knew my real name. I knew I was going t
