Quinn's POV" Quinn, what do you think you are doing, sleeping? " The look in Sabrina's eyes showed a sign of pity, at least that was what she wanted me to think as she stared down at my lifeless body, one she had condemned to starvation and slavery. " Where…. where am I? " I asked, trying to avoid eye contact with her, " Oh my God Quinn, I have been calling for you for the past thirty minutes. There was a slight tone of mockery in her voice. " What!, thirty minutes?.. how can I just pass out just like that? " Thirty minutes was a whole lot of time for me, it was almost time for dinner and if I don't get finished vacuuming the rooms on the third and fourth floor, then I can as well kiss today's meal goodbye just like the previous day. " Sometimes I wonder what's your worth in this mansion if you can't do some basic cleaning " coming from the person who had never laid her hands on a broom. "See, I'm doing my best for you since I consider you as a friend but if you don't finish toda

Sebastian POV" I said I don't want a mate, is that too much to ask of? " I roared at Stan, my beta. He has been on my neck to get a mate claiming it would bring the pack back to its rightful glory. " You know I can't force you to do what you don't want but I have to take an exception as there is no other way to prevent future losses unless you marry the daughter of the silver pack." Those had been the anthem Stan had been singing to my ears after the war between my pack and the Silver pack. " Who do you think I am, a weakling? " " I dare not say that my Lord but if you decide to continue with the war, what do you think would happen to the remaining members of the pack?" That was what bothered me, my pack was my priority and as a future Alpha, I must try as much as possible to prevent trouble for the pack. "I have told you to take the rest into hiding and when it's all over, you can cowardly resurface," I said." You know that's not possible, our families will be used as bait to lu

Sebastian POV"I would like to invite a very special someone in our midst, please give it up for Sebastian the next alpha to the red moon packs." The host said even when I had warned him earlier not to mention my name but the deed had already been done, ignoring his invitation would be a disgrace to my pack. I went up to the stage where all eyes were on me except those of my self-proclaimed mate, I immediately felt something was wrong as she was nowhere inside the hall and nothing could be the best explanation for this strange feeling if not the bond that mates share. " Ehm… Sebastian, are you still with us? " the host's words snapped me out of my thoughts."You know how much I hate attention being drawn to me, so why call me out? " I asked. " I'm sorry Sebastian but your father insisted I call you out." I wasn't even surprised as I was awaiting for my father was going to interfere but anyone who had seen me would know I wasn't pleased with it. " What does he want? ". "He wants yo

SebastianWhat my supposed mate did at the gathering still bothered me, I was very sure that it was witchcraft but I couldn't sense any bit of it from her. I looked back at my hand that she had healed, it was as good as new but I still got her to touch me and that was all that mattered. " Sir, Gabriel has asked for a meeting with you here in the mansion " Stan came barging in. As expected he called for a meeting but I didn't expect it would be that early . " Now?, don't you think it's late? " I asked , " he scheduled it for tomorrow morning ``.'' Hmmm" . " What do you want, you can go! " I said to Stan who had been standing at a spot without doing anything. " My Lord, if I may ask why does he want to see you? ". It was then I remembered that Stan wasn't at the gathering due to some pack issues, " I saw a lady who had managed to give warmth to my heart and I must have her as a mate " . Stan opened his mouth in shock, the last time he checked I was the person that had vowed never

Quinn" Sorry about what happened back there, don't listen to anything she says " Jacob tried to console me, I bit my lips and nodded. I couldn't blame her if she had reacted that way, if I was to be in her position, I would had also accused myself." Are you okay staying locked in a room? " I wished I could scream no! but for an unknown reason I just couldn't do it. If Sebastian had said he was coming to invade them, they should at least hatch up a plan on how to defeat him instead of locking me up in a place . " If I say no, will I have a choice? ``His silence was enough for me to know his answer . " On the other hand, you have me to keep you company " he blurted out. I rolled my eyes at his words , if only he knew I wanted it to be the other way. Sabrina was the one that was supposed to be locked in a secret room since no father would want his daughter to marry his worst enemy. " What! you don't like me around? ", at least he got the message across. " Can you at least show me the
