MIA'S POV This is not good. Vera is coming! What am I going to do? She's going to find out about Davon and lock him up again. I need to find a way. I rode on my bike and speeded to Theo's house. He and Davon were playing basketball in the backyard when I came. Theo was teaching Davon the different kinds of sports played by a human. "Davon, we have a problem. Cheska dropped by my house. Her Aunt Vera is coming tomorrow. She's inviting her best friends to introduce us to her aunt for lunch! What are we going to do?!" "We are so screwed. Davon, pack your bags. It would be best if you leave this town now," Theo wiped his sweat and dressed. "What? Where would he go, Theo? Davon doesn't know any place but this town. He'll get lost!" I reasoned, but because it's true. "I don't know! Do you want to give him back to that evil witch, Mia? He'll be a prisoner forever. We need to let him go," Theo rebuffed. It shocked me that this day was coming sooner than we all expected. No, I'm not read

MIA'S POV Bonded for life. Davon and I are officially mates. He explained it before, but I wasn't sure how it worked. As far as Lycan law was concerned, I am now his partner—a wife without a legal declaration to human law. Marked. Based on my understanding, the sex sealed our bond. At least, that is how it sounds to me. Davon made it clear when he became overly protective. And since we worked in the same place, he could watch over me. Davon also mentioned Nixon and warned me to avoid him. He would not hesitate to retaliate if he and his friends did something. According to him, I belong to him, and he belongs to me. No other man could ever touch me or face his wrath. "Mia? Mia!" Cheska shook my chair. I've been daydreaming about Davon and me and didn't notice she called my name, "You are not in yourself again. Okay, spit it out. What's bothering you?" "Me?" "Is there any other Mia here? Of course, I'm talking to you!" "Oh, no, nothing bothering me. I was just thinking about ahhh

NIXON’S POVMia has another mate, a Lycan King. How was that possible when I knew she was mine? And where did he come from?“Alpha, are we going to tell your father about that Lycan?” “What was that, Rendel?” I was in deep thought and didn’t hear him clearly, entering my house. “Rendel was saying that we should tell Faustus about the Lycan King,” Irish interrupted, overtaking me to get inside. “No! Father cannot know about him. At least not yet. We need to know where he came from and why he’s here.”“How? He vanished!” Irish raised her hands, “He’s got some sort of magic.”“Was he even real?” Ecko chimed in. I know he was real. I felt it. The only person who could enlighten us is Mia. She knows exactly where he came from if he was the same guy who saved Mia. “What I’m concerned about is that he is a Lycan King, but we already have one. We can’t have two kings!” Irish was confused, as we all did. No one expected another Lycan King.“I will get to the bottom of this. Rendel, Ecko, f

MIA’S POV Stunned, Mom dropped the tray after hearing me say the word, Dad. The glasses clattered on the floor as she wobbled back. “Mom, are you okay?” “Hang up that phone. Now!” Mom pulled up my phone and ended the call. “Mom, what are you doing?” she deleted Dad’s number on the call log and tossed the phone to the couch. “Why did you delete Dad’s number?!” “You, get out of my house! I told you not to bring that man back into our lives. Get out!” Mom shouted repulsively, opening the door wide. Jeffrey Henderson was left with no choice but to leave. Mom quickly slammed the door and locked it. “That man? Are you referring to my Dad? Mom, he is not just any other man; he’s my father!” “Your father, who abandoned us for so many years!” I walked out, going to my room. I wanted to hear from my Dad again. I wanted him to be part of my life again. Was that hard to ask? “Mia!” Mom followed me. I scrolled over my phone to check Dad’s number, but Mom had erased it earlier, “Mia, liste

DAVON’S POV“Wait, are you scared of Jaret?” Nixon questioned why I wanted to get away and hide from Jaret. “I am not. If it wasn’t for Mia, I would have ripped off his life out!” I opposed inaudibly. “Then why hide?” “None of your business. Why don’t you leave? I will get caught because of you,” I peeked downstairs. Jaret doesn’t seemed to need any books. Why would he be? He was only checking on me that’s for sure. I heard Mia pressing him to leave. Jaret scanned inside, with his hands on his waist looking like he was searching for a criminal.Mrs. Olsen came out and urged him to leave. His presence scares everyone around. I was quick to ran back downstairs. “You finally showed up. Don’t worry, he’s gone. Next time, don’t sleep in Mia’s room,” Mrs. Olsen said and went back to her office. “What did you do?” Nixon heard Mrs. Olsen and confronted me. He’s forehead wrinkled in anger hearing that information. “Nixon, not here,” Mia restrained his hand, seeing the rising an
