The question came out harsher than she expected, when he made no attempt to say anything else."Let's go in first. My Lawyer is on his way with the documents. And Michael is already inside as the third party."When they got inside, he eventually explained to that he had chosen his house for the contract signing for top secrecy. He didn't want to be seen with her in public yet, to avoid rumors until she meets with his parents. And he decides to bring their 'relationship' to the public eyes.Yara wasn't fully satisfied with his last words but she was too awestruck at how beautiful and exquisite his house looked, to argue at the moment. Chapter 24The sun was about going down. The sky had hued to a dark orange and Yara stood beside her window, hoping to wait and see the imminent setting of the sun.She remembered many years ago after she had lost her father to a fatal but shameful accident. (He was on his way to visit his mistress and was having a call with her when his car collided with an on-coming truck and he died instantly.)Her mother had felt so lonely and bitter. She was little then but she could discern that the smile was all a facade. And her mother was as good as dead. Though she walked, breathed and kept acknowledging to all who asked, that she was okay. She never asked her mother the truth behind his death. If it was as rumored or if the cold hands of death had just unjustly snatched him from them. One morning, when the sun was shining graciously and the birds were still singing sonorously, her mother had dressed her up and they left Virginia for Manhattan. They'd always stand by the window side, just

Grayson drove into his parents mansion with Yara at the front seat. It was exactly three days after their court marriage and he knew he had to do something real quick before that insane cousin of his- Xavier who now frequented his company would do something silly. He came down and walked to the other side of his car to open the car for Yara who was dressed in a sea green, v-neck long flowing gown that had a slit running from the middle of her thighs down to her legs.At first, she had refused it when he came over at her place this morning to pick her up. Her excuse was that he had already given her enough. But after their push and pull with words, she grudgingly accepted it.Yara came down from the car with a plastic smile on her face. You would think it's genuine but Grayson knew it wasn't. It was simply what part of what she had to do.Smile whenever they're together in public even when she doesn't feel like. Laugh at any slightest joke his parents make (cause they loved believing

Yara wasn't really happy with the outcome of their meeting with his parents who seemed to have their mind fixed on Tiffany. It was expected, though. Rich people usually go for those in their level. She was quite pleased that she didn't get insolent remarks. Mr and Mrs Dolan had been initially harsh, but tuned down later when they began talking. Yara knew it was all a facade when Grayson flashed her a smile and opened the door for her to enter the car. He had been really angry after her confession to Mr Dolan as regards how they met each other but he did a good job masking it from his parents. Not her.He slammed the door shut and waved at Madam Elle who stood few inches away waving at them. She had been directing the maids on where to move the flower pots her mistress had brought home yesterday evening.Yara swiped through her phone screen, typed in her password and began texting Cara. She was going to ask her if she was around, so she'd branch and have a good talk with her while e

Yara got home excited but weak. She didn't have a good night rest yesterday because she was nervous about meeting Grayson's parents. She had expected his parents to be worse than he was. But they weren't as terrible as she thought. She walked into her room to change into a more comfortable dress when the words of Cara rang in her ears. She tried ignoring it by sighing and briefly closing her eyes. But it got worse. She knew she was messing with her future. She was meant to check in at Oscaris after the what happened that day but she was too disappointed in herself and the first few weeks after she had discovered about her pregnancy, life hadn't been easy for her.Her ass sank into the soft bed and she gently rubbed her temples. She wanted to call the lady she met at the fashion event who had gushed about Coco Columbia having a life performance. But it occurred to her that they didn't swap numbers. Joyce had asked her not to bother paying back the money she spent on her medical bills
