23. The contract

Of course, she knew there was no way she could go through the whole things written in the contract, except she take it home which was impossible. But she would at least, go through most of it all and ask the Lawyer for a detailed summary.

The headache from earlier this morning came back. She read through the first page, then next and a few other pages. Then she paused with frown etched all over face.

"What do you by our child having to answer your name? You have no right over him." She glared at Grayson.

"Like you said, it's 'our' child. And we would have equal rights over him while the marriage lasts. It would be pretty suspicious for our child to bear your name while we're married. And once the contract expires, you can... have the child." Grayson said.

"And when is the contract going to expire?" She asked, flipping through the pages.

"We've talked about this before. It expires when we both achieve our aims of going into the marriage." Grayson answered.
