21. Thank goodness

The day started with Yara's head banging like it was being drummed on. She rolled from one side of her bed to another while biting her bottom lip to avoid her screaming out like a maniac.

She didn't know if it was part of her pregnancy symptoms or if she had gotten ill. But this pain was so much and all she wanted was to curl into a ball and wait for the pains to go away.

She did just that.

Curled up into a ball, with her hands shielding her face where the blinding rays of the sun from the partly opened window had wielded all their strength upon. And tears had filled her eyes, falling off like drops of rain.

She was like that for the next fifteen minutes.

It seemed like an hour, though. But the pains had lessened and she sat up on the bed, tilting her head to crack the tension between her neck and heaving out a sigh while the tears dried up.
