Chapter 41Lauren's POVI trembled slightly at his words but I was composed enough not to let Kayden notice that I had trembled."I... I would not do anything to harm her, what happened... What happened at the dining was... Was just an incident.""One that should never, ever repeat itself," he replied and I nodded repeatedly."You can leave," he said and I turned to leave but stopped when I got to the door."Alpha Kayden, can... Can I have a meal with you? I mean can we both go out....""I have no time for trivial things, shut the door behind you." he cut me off and I nodded, pressing my lips into a thin line.I opened the door and walked down the stairs with just one thought on my mind, how I was going to deal with that Samantha once Kayden and his parents were gone, she would be left at my mercy and then I would be able to deal with her appropriately.Yeah, I was scared of what Kayden just told me but then still yet, I just needed to make Samantha be the one at fault, I could send h

Chapter 43Kayden's POVI stared into her beautiful eyes, no doubt they looked even more beautiful and captivating today. I felt a strong urge to grab her and kiss the hell outta her but then what reasons would I give for that?My head however seemed to ignore my thoughts as it moved closer to Mantha, her eyes were slightly closed as I moved even closer to the small, pink lips that seemed to have been made just for me.I pressed our foreheads together and our lips were just about to touch when the door opened."Oops!"I quickly opened my eyes and helped Mantha stand straight."I... I am sorry if I interrupted anything, I would just take my leave now." mum said with a shy smile on her face and I ran my hand through my hair.Mum was sure going to read deeper meanings into this incident."You didn't interrupt anything mum," I replied her, walking over to my bed."What do you mean? I would just leave right away, sorry to disturb you," she said and walked out of the door.I sighed softly a

Chapter 45Samantha's POVI watched the car as it moved out of the mansion, it seemed like my life was slowly drifting away from me. I could feel my eyes go wet instantly, maybe I was simply kind of missing Alpha Kayden or maybe I was just feeling pity for what I was going to go through."I think you are feeling pity for yourself." Cara replied and I nodded. That made much sense anyway"Now Mantha." Miss. Lauren called in a different voice, a voice that did not hide her spite and her hatred for me.The fact that she called me Mantha, which Alpha Kayden had told her not to call me was proof that she was going to do things to me, things that she could not do when Alpha Kayden was around."Isn't this the beautiful and most favoured maid?" She asked and I quickly turned to her with a slight bow hoping that I would not annoy her during the days that the entire family would be absent from the mansion."Miss Lauren," I called in the softest voice I could."Mantha, Mantha, what do you say if

Chapter 47Kayden's POVThe car stopped at the airport and I alighted. I stared back at the road and pressed my lips into a thin line.I could only wonder what Lauren might be doing currently. Maybe she is bullying Mantha or maybe nothing is happening."Son, let's go." mum said, grabbing my arm and we both proceeded into the airport, along with Dad and Granny.I picked out my phone to at least call Mantha but then I halted. Why should I call on a maid to check on her? I buried the phone back into my pockets and looked forward."You are going to call her because she is mysterious?" Jay asked."Jay, you very well see that I have dropped my phone, I am not going to call Mantha," I replied to him."Why don't you want to call her? What if she is in danger?" Jay asked and I groaned."Are you trying to get me to call her or not?""That's for you to decide." he chuckled."Just let me be Jay." I groaned and turned off my phone since we would be getting on. Samantha's POVIt was Mis

Chapter 49Kayden's POV"Come over here Kayden." mum called."Mum." I groaned."You are here for a vacation not to work," she replied."I just have to do this, I really can't let go of this," I replied and she sighed deeply, letting go of me.She probably just knew enough that I would not be giving in to her requests, it has been this way for years now. I do find no interest in vacations, wasting time.My mind slowly drifted away from what I was working on to Mantha."She must be doing well," I said to myself, perhaps in an attempt to assure myself that she was completely safe.If she was in any form of danger, she would give me a call."Hey, Lauren is on the call." mum called out to me and I finally put away my laptop.I wasn't going to her to talk to Lauren randomly, definitely not but then maybe from Lauren I could know how Mantha, my object of mystery was doing.I walked over to mum, my two hands buried deep in my pockets touching the cold phone in it. "Hey, good morning Alpha Ka
