The Stranger In the Woods
************************ NEXT MORNING ************************ Masha could not stop her hands from shaking as she stared down at her clothed thighs. She knew everything was set, the servants were done with her and she looked nothing short of a bride. But the thought of being married frightened her.  Few days ago, all she looked forward to was the collaboration party. She never had any thoughts of getting married to a wolf prince and soon to be King.  Terra was standing behind her but had lost ideas of encouragements to give to her. Shortly, the door opened with Lady Jade showing up. She was adorned in a long silver-colored dress, her hair styled with beads around and an aura of leadership hovering around her. Indeed, she looked just like the mother of the bride.  "It's time, Masha", Lady Jade said with a straight face.

In A Bar
The party after the marriage was luxurious. There was so much to eat and so much to drink. But Masha's soul was so troubled, she was hardly eating. All Czar did was drink.  Throughout the party, Czar didn't say a word to anyone - and neither did he spare Masha a stare.  ******************* NEXT MORNING ******************* Masha stood before the window, her hands on her waist as she heard the door go open behind her. The reflection of the morning sun resting on her face was nothing short of torture. Although, it was mild and warm, but everything felt like torture on Masha's skin that morning.  "My lady, your things are fully set and the carriage is ready to go", the servant behind her said.  Even with how detached servants were, Masha could still sense the hint of emotion in the servant's voice. She

The Sleeping Wolf
Even with their fast horses and carriages, it had taken the wolves four days to get to their pack. They camped at night and journeyed during the day. And the whole time, Czar avoided Masha like a plaque. Although, Masha did same. Finally getting to the supreme pack was the biggest relieve for the wolves, but the biggest terror for Masha. Everything smelt like the wolves and she wondered how she'd co-exist with them, being the only vampire. It was already evening and dusk was near. As soon as they alighted their carriages, Czar walked away before anyone else. The king and queen were also alighting theirs while being welcomed by the servants. Masha was befuddled and just stood by her empty carriage, not knowing what to do or where to go. She felt like a slave who had just been bought. Sephora stepped out of her own carriage and noticed how Masha stood confused and rejected. The two ladies maintained eye contact for a while before Sephora finally glared and walked away. Thankfully, t

A Lady's Moans
Alone in the room for so long, Masha decided to take a walk. Although, she hated moving around her strange environment, but she had become so tired of being confined and needed to take some air.  She walked carefully along the balconies - carefully like it mattered - and only came across very few servants. Although, they greeted her, but she could hear the echo of irritation in their tone and gesture. No doubt, she was the most hated being there, all thanks to her father.  She loved how calm and beautiful the evening was and the cold breeze that fondled her cheeks. The Palace was really beautiful - she wouldn't deny. But the people in it were scary.  After walking for some time, down to the last floor, she finally came across a place that pricked her attention the most. It was the palace kitchen! It was in a big open space with various many cooking fire and pots on them. There were a l

The Arrival Of Doom
Masha couldn't believe her ears. Czar was really making out with someone when they just arrived? Was he for real? Something in her guts told her it was with Sephora. Yes, the voice definitely sounded like hers. Well, what was she even expecting? Czar had been having sex with Sephora long before the collaboration. So, why was she expecting him to stop? She wouldn't deny feeling a little hurt that she had to share her 'husband' with someone else.  Confused at that point, she walked away. Of course, she couldn't go into the room and interrupt them; it was only best for her to leave - even tho she didn't exactly know where to go.  With feeble steps, she walked away, her chest feeling so heavy. As she traipsed down the staircases, she kept thinking of how unfortunate her life had been in the past few days. She couldn't believe she was a stranger in a pack full of wolves and her supposed husband w

The Return Of Jaha
Everyone present in the hall wanted so bad to believe their sight was failing them. It couldn't be possible! How was the Almighty Jaha in front of them when he should be asleep in the mountain prison? To their best of their knowledge, he had been there for eight years and was meant to be there for ever. So, how was it possible he was in front of them? Or, could he be an imposter? Lord Marcus got to his feet immediately, his gaze solely fixed on the unwanted man at the entrance. Even for a vamplord as experienced as he was, he still felt his throat run dry at the sight of him. He wanted it to be a dream; a nightmare.  With everyone still and muddled, Jaha took a step from the door. Then, another step, and another, until he was fully walking into the door. There were guards around, but even them shivered at the sight of him, they couldn't imagine trying to stop him.  From the older people tha

A Lost Treasure
NEXT MORNING*********MOON HOWLERS PACKMasha woke up very early to go join Lyall in the kitchen as agreed. The chief cook was surprised when she saw how early the Lady arrived. Although, they had agreed on it, but she thought the Lady had only bluffing and wouldn't make good of her words. Surprisingly, she did. The rest of the servants were surprised seeing the vampire in the kitchen. 'shouldn't she be getting the princess' treatment?' they pondered to themselves. But Masha didn't care about the awkward stares they threw at her as her greatest joy was cooking in the kitchen. She had a suggested a new meal to Lyall for breakfast, and although, Lyall wasn't completely comfortable with it, Masha had promised her she would love it. As she worked on the vegetables, she recounted how her night had been. After meeting with the naked wolf, she had returned to the room and luckily couldn't find Czar in. Tired, she changed her dress and grabbed some sleep. And by the time she was awake tha

Czar And His Lady
"My Lord...!" The old man went on his knees immediately, then bowed his head. "May you live forever".Jaha smirked at the beautiful sight. He loved praises. "When I heard you were back, it was the most wonderful news I had heard my whole life. I came as soon as I could. Ah! It is more than wonderful to have you back. Rabid Shadow has never been the same since you left. I hope Rufus is still worthy to be in your sight, My Lord", he acclaimed. Jaha looked up and sighed."Rise, Rufus", he said. And without hesitation, the old man got to his feet. Jaha noticed he still had his old bag with him - as always. "My Lord, how have you been? When you got imprisoned, I...""Save it. I know you'd have done your best for me", Jaha cut him off and returned to the balcony. He followed."What do you think, Rufus?" He asked, gazing into space. "What are the rumours you hear about me?""Uh...well", the man chortled. "Just few of them are still scared and intend running away, but majority are happy

The Meal
Masha managed to dress herself up and found her way to the dining room. There, she noticed she was almost the last to arrive. The king, the Queen, Arabella and Sephora were already present. And oh, even the nàked guy from the previous night. He was there as well. Masha guessed he was not lying when he said he was Czar's cousin.  She lowered her gaze as she walked in.  "Greetings, my king. Greetings, my queen", she bowed with a sense of chivalry. "Greetings, Masha. You should take a seat", the king gestured to an empty seat beside Arabella and gladly, Masha took it, ignoring the fact that the queen did not respond to her.  "Hello, Masha", Arabella dimpled at her.  Goodness! She looked so beautiful as she smiled - Masha thought..  "Hi", she beamed back at her.  Her eyes caught Torak also smiling at her.&

Spoken Hatred
Lyall was sincerely scared. She didn't want to implicate the poor lady, but unfortunately, she had no choice. She retained a bowed head and couldn't spare a glance at the prince to see his reaction. Perhaps, his face had gotten swollen with rage already. But Mace had the opportunity to look, and the expression on the prince's face was... unreadable. "Are you... sure about this?" Czar asked. His voice was still as calm and cold.  "Y...Yes, my prince. I would never lie to you". Then, a few seconds passed.  "You can rise, Lyall. Go back to the kitchen and get me a plate of it", he ordered, making Lyall think she was losing her senses.  Did she just hear him correctly? To go back and get him a plate? What was going on? Amidst her confusion, she knew she couldn't keep him waiting. Hence, she stood up, bowed and left.
