Chapter Twenty One

The silk-cloth-clad balcony door was left wide open. The breeze was soft yet it prickled the skin uncovered. The moon was hidden behind clouds, and the sky let out its wrath wanting to destroy the creature who sat undisturbed, gazing at the petite, pale figure in front of him. The figure was unconscious lying in a soft bed of luxury which held no worth whilst she had suffered a near-to-death experience a while ago. Zohan had his legs on the bed and body on the black couch while eyeing the result of his cruelty. She was fragile yet she was so fierce. She felt like a force of nature. Unstoppable. Irresistible. She did everything in her might to prove that she was not bound to obey him. Only if she knew that he was the very person who would destroy that feeling in her, he eyed her while she is unconscious. Did he have to do this? Was it needed? But no questions ran in his mind. He did not allow it. The only words that echoed in his ears were his grandfather's words. “You’re getting s

Chapter Twenty Two

The eyes that used to look at her with kindness and curiosity at first now turn rigid and cold. The feeling of being stared into the soul with nothing but an empty void yet feeling the intensity of hate burned Gloria’s heart. She did not hate him nor did she love him. She did not even spend enough time for him to let her know a little. Just a little. He locked her up and forced her into marrying him yet her naive heart could not hate him. So rather than hating him she hated herself for that. He stood at the door with his hand in his pocket and his dark locks messed on his head. His eyes were red as if a storm were to appear in the sky. The man was magnificent in every way possible. Whatever he did, he managed to charm everyone through it. It was not his arrogance or his exterior, it was his mere existence that made him so irresistible. He took slow steps toward the broken figure in front of him. She did not want to, but the fear took over her heart as she backed away slightly seei

Chapter Twenty Three

While the rain poured there was not much to think about but Zohan’s mind was filled with thoughts. His brain kept repeating moments back from his childhood when there was peace and contentment for him. Though he had realized that early that he was the destiny of Carnival and no matter what he had to and will be tied to the brutality of the underground. So, instead of being swallowed by it, he devoured it. There was not a night where he did not feel the need to destroy the world. It threw his way every sort of cruelty possible and expected him to act against it. He did, but with no one beside him. The power he had gained from being broken again and again and correcting himself, again and again, was something so very dangerous it resulted in his heart turning cold. Zohan was looking up at the ceiling. He was sure what he was doing was right and the pleasure it bought him was what he deserved. His innocence was killed. Just a little more by his grandfather. The door was knocked on as

Chapter Twenty Four

She was throwing her hands at him and was pushing his chest but he didn’t even bulge. He indulged himself in the luxury of desire. She knew she wouldn’t be able to stop him but she cannot let it happen either. He was savoring in madness. His eyes were drunk as if he could not stop himself. She whimpered and shouted. When he realized that the couch was small for them, he stood up. Looking down at her terrified state, he smirked. He seemed to enjoy seeing her vulnerable under him. Despite her protests, he picked her up on his shoulder and went out of the room. She was shouting for help yet no one came to the rescue. Before he came here, he dismissed everyone from the house, even Alice. He knew that he might just do something that Alice might just not let happen. He must not leave his trance until he satisfies his inner beast. When he reached his bedroom, he didn’t even bother to lock the room as he threw her on the bed. The poor girl crawled behind seeing his eyes. He was going to

Chapter Twenty Five

Tapping his hand on the chair's armrest, Zohan sat with his head on his index finger. His eyes bored into the eyes of the man in front of him who sat on his knees. His hands were tied behind his back and blood dripped from his head. His lips were busted and bruises covered half of his body and face making him almost unrecognizable. His head hung low in front of the tyrant sitting with no intention of mercy to do in this warehouse. Using his legs to tap the thigh of the front man, he put his elbow on his knees and looked at the man. Eye to eye. “What made you so incapable of being useful?” Zohan asked. His voice was the only sound heard in the silent warehouse. The man’s head was still hung low, hoping the earth would swallow him. In this world, no one will ever want to be presented this way to Zohan Salvatore unless they wish for a barbaric death.Zohan awaited the man’s reply yet nothing. He looked down and smirked. His hair fell from his eyes. “I don’t appreciate such a late answ

Chapter Twenty Six

She looked at him with fear in her eyes. His lips were twisted from the sides making the cruel intentions in him stand out. Her hands were shaking. His hands were on her waist preventing her from falling down. As he saw how terrified she was. He looked at her softly. “What is wrong, My sweet?”Her lips were shaking. She did not know why she was so scared but the idea of her going out on his so-called ‘honeymoon’ terrified her to her guts. He brushed her hair that covered her face as he cupped her cheeks. Leaving a soft peck on her nose, he smiled against it. “If not a honeymoon, we must go out for some shopping.” He said and picked her up. He carried her to the library and he made her sit down on one of the couches. “Tell me, what do you want to read?”She was looking at him with no words. Her silence did not satisfy him. He walked up to one of the libraries and took one book out. Sitting beside her he gave her the book. “Read it. Relax. We’ll go out in the evening.”He said as he

Chapter Twenty Seven

Bullets were shooting through all directions as he made her duck inside a clothing shop and guarded her with a gun from his waist. She was petrified at the sight. Three men were shooting from the other side as the other one saw her in the shop. Zohan was shooting, making bullets shower before him. He looked behind now and then to see if she is safe. When he looked behind again, he didn’t see her.“Gloria,” He whispered. Putting the gun in his back he ducked down and dialled a number. “Shootting right at my location, send bridges.” Bridges was the code name for the army of weaponry. He cut the call and by leaving them to Carol and his men and the troop that’s about to come, he frantically searched for her. Shooting and ducking now and then, he looked back. He realized a few of them were gone from the shooting and they weren’t dead. “Shit,” He cursed under his breath. She had been taken. After a few minutes, the shootings intensified as the Bridges came. But then later it completely

Chapter Twenty-Eight

“I have never seen a bait so beautiful.” The sound of a deep voice resonated from above the attic. Gloria who was sitting on the floor of the attic at one corner on top of the dust bed, looking miserable, looked up. A man looking down at her from above leaning against the railing. His eyes were not smiling but his mouth has turned up. There was a shadow casting on his face. Making half of his face not seen. In an elegant way, he made his way downstairs. Gloria scooted back. Why was she taken here? Who was he? Many thoughts circled in her head but she was unable to comprehend any of them as fear engulfed her. As he reached his final step, he was merely a few feet away from her. Gloria looked at him closely. His hair was dusted with a light blonde color and the length of it had reached the back of his neck. He wore a white shirt that tightly hugged his body as his muscles were visible. He approached her slowly. Gloria prayed for the world to swallow her at this point. She was so s
