REIDMiimii was in trouble. And so was my entire fucking being, because I thought I'd explode with panic. My wolf's previous prancing had morphed into growling and planting death plots in my head, that I would've pushed away on a normal day, but I welcomed"We have to find her, now!" My wolf's growl came as a command as he spoke within me."No doubt," I responded because he'd spoken both our minds by saying so anyway."—And, we're killing whoever it is that has hurt her the second we find them" He added, and the vengeance he felt as he said so ran through my veins as well."Let's find her first, but that's definitely on the table" As for me, I just needed to know that she was out of harm's way first.Immediately it'd registered in my head that the shrill cry for help I'd heard was Miimii's voice, I knew exactly what I had to do.So I eagerly heightened my senses so that I'd follow her scent to find the direction where it'd come from, even without being prompted by my wolf. I was fucki

Miimii’s POVThe complete darkness that had engulfed my mind after my body went limp with the shock it’d experienced began to fade away and give way to light slowly. And as the darkness faded away further, I began to feel my body move to get accustomed to the environment I was in, but to no avail.I felt the softest silk sheets my skin had ever touched rubbing against my back and the surface I was on felt so comfortable that I could swear it was made from the pure wool of a thousand sheep. I tried to adjust further and rest a bit because my head still hurt a bit from the fall I’d experienced, but the foreign feeling of extreme comfort bugged me more than I thought it would. In no time I was rubbing my eyes slowly and trying to adjust to the lighting of the room as I opened my eyes gently and eased into it. The first thing I noticed was the strong back of a man that wasn't facing me and how his arms flexed brilliantly as he kind of struggled to fold something.I didn't know why, but I

Lustre’s POVMiimii’s endless gushing about Reid was probably the purest and most beautiful reaction I’d ever witnessed since I arrived at Hell’s Hall and I loved being a beneficiary of her excitement. She had twirled, squealed, danced, and bounced around at different intervals since she stepped into our room less than an hour ago.I mean, anyone who’d ever seen Reid near Miimii would know that they both oozed some form of sexual tension even without speaking to each other. I’d always known that whatever attraction they felt for each other would morph into something substantial eventually, but it happened sooner than I’d expected it to.Even now, Miimii was laying on the bed and dreamily looking at the ceiling while she explained how she might’ve just wished her entire life into existence and Reid was the most beautiful man she’d ever lain her eyes on— yeah, she’d referred to him as beautiful.“You know Lustre, he was just as nervous.....” My mind trailed off again, as it had been doi

Lustre's POVEverywhere I turned, someone was bumping into me with some shit they'd procured for the ball or my ears were being bled out with gossip and musings about the ball and who'd be present. It was just as tiring as it was annoying, and I truly hoped that it would come to an end soon. The last few days that led up to the ball had been filled with several preparations in full swing and a noisy environment, day in and out. From the preparations that were being made, you'd know that the ball would accommodate men of valor and be the talk of Silvercrest for weeks to come after it had been held. However, that did nothing to fuel my enthusiasm because I never fantasized about princess dresses and balls when I could be much more— a woman in power who'd continue to bring unworthy men to their knees, and that title was much more satisfying than being at a man's side as his trophy. And I had a feeling that was all Alpha Fleki intended for me to be by making me his date to the ball. Of co

REIDThe clacking shoes on the floor of the halls, as I watched people say from side to side on the dance floor with their partners, made my throat close with jealousy. I wished dearly to be in their stead, to be dancing with Miimii and to hold her in my arms and guide her steps as we danced, to swirl her around and whip her back up into my arms. But of all that was most likely going to remain a fantasy, and nothing more.Worst of all was the fact that I’d not been able to find Miimii since I got to the ball and I was increasingly getting antsy. I’d arrived at the ball unusually early because I needed to greet the Alphas that were in attendance on Alpha Fleki’s behalf until he decided to waltz in at a fashionably late hour to continue with the formalities of greeting the Alphas.I’d not expected her to arrive as early as I did but I’d hoped that she would be no more than an hour late if she delayed. At some point, I had contemplated sending a guard to fetch her but I figured she’d thi
