Don’t play with my feelings just because you are unsure of your own.I am not a toy. I am a heart with emotions.~~~~~~~~ARLET~What a beautiful success I have achieved without you. The entire world appreciated me, and you called me a wrong deed you unintentionally committed.Another appreciation mail from my boss popped on my phone while I observed I had made some new fans in the house. Kathrine and others loved the show by breathless, and only Raya and I knew how Roselin was pulling her name, being a friend of Shanaya & Breathless. We came home, but the aching of hearts was still left, which needed to be healed. Perhaps I need to spend more time with my healer.I read somewhere there is always a devil in God’s house and an angel in the devil’s. If Raya is the angel, why I can’t accept you as my…?Raya slept, and I slithered out after reading her another bedtime story. My troubled heart was looking for someone to talk to, but I knew I had no one at that moment. I needed my mom and d

Love, dedication, and respect... I have given you two, and the last one you earned today.~Arlet~~~~~~~~~The morning stroke from the sheer curtains, and my eyes landed on the picture that invariably gives me hope for a new day. My parents, they were the most beautiful couple I have ever seen. Maybe these unconditional, one-true love things come from them into me. I blew my first kiss, rubbed my palm down my face, and joined them for morning prayers. Thanking the almighty for allowing me one more day on this beautiful planet. Releasing some requests for all the people I know and for Ruben, I was scared to utter a single word. “Let your will be completed in my life, God.”With those words, I started my day and hopped toward the bathroom. After finishing my morning business, I went for a shower. I was smiling throughout these moments, thinking, replaying, and pausing at the exact moment when he snuggled the ring into my fingers and called me the most precious thing. It could be an ill

Because I saw it in your eyes, you felt it too.~~~~~~~~~~~ARLET~The early morning was a dominion of heavenly things, birds, breeze, and the first ray piercing the clouds, giving you a new meaning. The soft grass underneath my feet implied that life was more than just sorrow; it is beautiful and gives you a chance to fall in love again. Awakening magic rekindled to pick the splendid memories and knit them together to cherish like these chirping birds. My heart was overwhelmed. Channeling the last evening I had dreamed of over these years came true. We talked to each other for the first time, and he didn’t hate me.Not to my surprise, Raya was there watching me, grinning all by myself.Only a person in love can grin alone.“Mommy, it’s a beautiful morning,” “Yes,” I replied.“Mommy, why didn’t you tell daddy you can talk?” To which I smiled and said.“I... need some more time to recover.” “Oh, but I am sure he will be happy to know you can talk,” Raya affirmed her decision. We wer

Sometimes the most beautiful thing in life comes in the darkest moment of life. You will find it where you have least expected.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Author’s POV~There was a time when Ruben used to call himself a champion. Whatever life threw in his direction, he worked it well. But now it feels like his soul has been in the sea of pain for so long it has forgotten the feeling of land.Like a desperate soul, he listened and mediated the words he got from the radio, but it seemed infeasible. He slammed the steering wheel in frustration and thought he might have lost the ability to think beyond this emotion and mental blockage. There were lots of ifs and buts in his thought process. He knew the importance of Arlet for Raya, but at the same time, she needed to understand the boundaries. He choked on the engine, making it silent in the parkway, came out, and heaved a low breath. Heading towards the main door, he could feel the influence of alcohol on his senses more than expected. He opened

“Just friends”: It’s hard to be just friends with someone you fell in love with~Author’s POV~~~~~~~~~It’s been over eleven years sprinting through this unshakable fog, only to stand on faith. A faith where she continued waiting on his name, desiring him, and never realized there would be consequences. But when reality hits, it will first strike the faith.Life is like a book; every word you write becomes your story. She wrote love, waiting, and undeniable faith until now, but everything has weakened with time. New vocabulary added to her story: Ignorance, acceptance, and becoming the shelter and brightness to the people who needed her the most. The nights have become long, and days have become short. There was no place for her to hinder these evolutions life brought. She was trying hard to stand firm and fought against all odds, but slowly with time, her beautiful world was decaying. It’s been two weeks. She was sleeping in the same room as Ruben. It took time for her to adapt the
