Melody's POV:I was 99 percent sure another flashback was coming any second when I held the snow globe in my hand. But of course, that 1 percent won and the next thing I knew...fire.It all happened when Amelia decided going shopping is worth a party. Specially a college party. Melody's POV:"It's all my fault." Amelia muttered for the hundredth time as she shuffled inside our room.I wasn't even surprised she was saying that. She liked blaming herself for everything."Really Amelia, it's fine. It isn't even bleeding." I said reassuringly.I had managed to burn my hand in the whole process of escaping the fire. Amelia had noticed that when we reached back to our dorm and she was literally freaking out over it.She shook her head and came towards me with the first aid kit. She took out the antiseptic cream and applied it gently on my hand."Melody?" She asked. "Did something happen between Asher and you?"The giddy feeling almost returned to my stomach thinking about what had actually happened. I couldn't help but think how good it felt against him. Melody's POV:I was wrong.I should possibly restrain myself from hoping the best. Because Asher didn't come.I reached the Grand Park ten minutes before the time we had agreed on. I hadn't told anyone, not even Amelia. She just knew I was in the library. I had sat on the bench looking around for him.He hadn't come.Part of me was kind of expecting that all along. Why in the world would he even take it seriously since I practically told him about that at midnight? Most of all, why in the world would he even take me seriously?I had stayed there for a whole hour, hoping I was wrong and he would come. But people had started retreating, and so did I.And most worst of all, when I went back to the dormitory, I had seen a mail for me. A mail from my Dad asking me to visit the principal's office for my scheduled counselor's meeting. Believe me, I've never felt more unlucky. I guess I had some talk to do with my dad. But right now, I headed off to the principal's office.I didn't need more

Melody's POV:I had the same dream that night. Again it was horrifying. I woke up in a daze, shaking. I hadn't slept after that."I've been having dreams. Nightmares, actually. I think I should drop the medicines for a while." I told Amelia later in library.She looked at me in sympathy and shook her head."I don't think that would be wise." She said.I knew she would say that. They didn't know how horrifying it felt when I couldn't have escaped those creepy woods. At some point I had thought it wasn't a dream after all.I nodded and stood up, slinging my handbag over my shoulder."You're coming?" I asked her.She again shook her head without looking up at me."I'll come when I'm done with this."She was busy doing her English assignment. I sighed and exited the library into the dark, night sky. Earlier, I had a talk with Dad on the phone. He had been giving excuses for why I should attend my counselling sessions. Thankfully, they will only be on Mondays and Thursdays.I had to agree

Asher's POV:The rain turned into a violent storm in minutes. Which was bad since now we were trapped here with trees all around and us in the car, which had decided to stop midway.And now we were literally out here between I don't know where."Oh God. How will we get back?" Melody whispered.I glanced sideways at her. Once again I felt my eyes just staying at her. She was so real. Like the same Melody I loved putting my arms around. The same Melody I loved to kiss.How could she just forget it all?It should've been too hard to accept it or the thing about her flashbacks. But the way panic had edged in her eyes when she had told me about it was not hard to believe.She turned her focus towards me and I looked away."We are trapped." She said.I looked at the road ahead as the night sky made it look more isolated. Opening the door, I glanced at her one more time."No, we're not. I'll check what's wrong." I reassured her.She nodded but the worried lines were still visible on her fore
