Cara's POVI jumped off the bed in an instant, my claws out and ready in defense, as I heard someone barge in on a special moment with me and my mate. We had decided to take a little nap after several hours of passionate sex in his makeshift apartment."Mark?" I called out in surprise as I stared with widened eyes at a very disheveled looking Alpha Supreme. He was standing at the door post, a weary look on his face. One would rarely see Mark like this. I felt a constriction in my throat.Bruno was still laying fast asleep on the bed, letting out light snores. I swear, humans seem to be able to sleep through a hurricane."I'm intruding." He said, staring blankly at my completely naked self. I opened my mouth to reply before he swiftly turned around and started walking away."No! Mark. Wait up." I called out to him as I hurriedly put on a shirt. Bruno stirred a little in his sleep, mumbling some incoherent words that I couldn't bring myself to listen. Let me find out what has gotten Mar

Cara's POVTrees passed by me in a blur as I pushed my four legs to go even faster. I needed to get to my mate before those fuckers really hurt him. Wildlife scurried out of my way as I hurriedly dashed past. Little droplets of snow were beginning to appear on my fur and the chilly winter wind was blowing hard against them.My paws dug deeper into the moist earth with every step I took towards the unknown location. I couldn't get any scent, so my wolfy ears stood out on the top of my head, trying to pick on any strange sound.Earlier, I had gone up to our room in the pack house to confront Athena...or whoever she had become now. I went there, growling and baring my fangs in threats, only to find out that my mate wasn't there with her. She had him tied to a tree in the woods. He was shirtless, cold and looking barely conscious."How long do you think an ordinary human would be able to withstand such conditions." She smirked at me as she held out a tablet with the picture of my mate. I

Cara's POVI grunted in pain as I took another hit to my stomach, falling down on one knee. It felt like hours since I've been trying to fight off these damned Vixens but they came really prepared. They delivered painful blows and few cuts with their blades but didn't really attempt to kill me.... even if they obviously could at this point. For some reason they were toying with me and I was too exhausted to be infuriated at that fact.I looked behind me to see Claire and Leona with fearful looks in their eyes. They were also surrounded by a few of the Vixens. They were holding katanas to their throats, discouraging them from making any sudden movements. The other wolves didn't seem to be doing any better. One could literally see the fear written all over them. They had initially doubted my ability to keep them safe. Turns out they were right afterall. The Vixens continued their assault on me with every attempt I made to stand up. They were running around me in circles, taking turns t

Mark's POVOne minute I was kneeling down on the snowy forest ground, desperately trying to shift into my wolf and the next minute I was right in the middle of...my pack?!Fear suddenly engulfed me as I looked around, sighting numerous burning buildings and trees. The skies were bright, burning red and screams of terror and agony filled the air but I saw no one. Not a single person was outside, running to safety. It puzzled me.I quickly stood up from the ground where I had been kneeling. Looking around frantically for some explanation to what the hell was going on? How am I here? Why is my pack suddenly on fire? Where are the members of my pack.I started tracing the noises to various burning buildings. I walked up to a building that was literally burning down, screams and calls for help coming from within. I called out and even quickly got in to check on whoever was crying for help, only to be met with nothing, no one. I continued like this, from one building to another."Anybody the

Mark's POVI turned around just in time to see Bruno, hitting a rogue behind me with a big stick. It must have been trying to sneak up on me."Uh oh!" Bruno exclaimed as the rogue let out a low, ferocious growl at him. Cara grabbed its neck and twisted it in an instant, making me sigh in releif because I literally had another rogue biting hard on my right arm. Killian and seven other Deltas were all busy fighting off rogues, even Claire and the Omega kid had already armed themselves with sticks and iron bars, swinging them around wildly. The rouges kept on coming at us from all directions. We were now basically surrounded by vicious, blood thirsty rogues, making us back up against each other as we fought them off. No claws, no fangs, no wolf ; just pure aggression and the strong determination to survive.I was finally able to shake off the rogue from my arm, hurling it right into a nearby flame. My arm was badly injured and I had claw marks all over my body. Cara was also in a pret
