Chapter Forty-oneLeila's POVI became aware of my surroundings. I tapped the space beside me hoping to touch someone but was met with empty bedsheets, my eyes opened immediately to find out that I was alone in the room. I sat up and my eyes darted to the meal set in a tray. 'Breakfast in bed'. English breakfast! He knew exactly what I wanted. I am a foodie so I always need a heavy breakfast. Yesterday's event filled my mind and I couldn't help but giggle. I was sure that my face was flushed in pink.A smile formed on my lips as I imagined Xavier in the kitchen preparing me breakfast. I knew he would look hot and sexy in an apron. I drew the tray closer to me, the nice scent of bacon, fried eggs, sausage, mushrooms, baked beans and toast filled my nose. I smiled in sheer ecstasy as I thought of the trouble he must have gone through to prepare an English breakfast for me. I sipped the tea and it was exactly how I love my tea creamy and not too sweet, just okay. How did he know exactly h

Chapter Forty-threeLeila's POVI watched him as he dressed up. " I don't have anything to wear." I complained. Not that I didn't have any clothes to wear. It's just that I was too lazy to go to my room and dress up besides, I needed to wear something to my room. There was no way that I could possibly go to my room which was situated on the opposite wing naked or with only towel. I would look ridiculous." I will ask the servants to transfer your clothes here." He said as he buttoned his shirt and left the first two buttons opened.I stared at him wondering what was the name of our relationship or if we even had a relationship at all. Where we just a fling? Was he just with me because of the heat period? I touched the mark on my neck and assured myself that he felt the same way I felt for him. But if he loved me why haven't he said anything yet? 'You haven't told him you loved him either' The little voice in my head argued and I accepted.I heard him snap his fingers and I looked up t

Chapter Forty- fiveA man dressed in an all black costume. A scar ran down from two centimeter away from his left eye down to his chin. His face was hardened and the scar made him appear more scary than he looked. His aura speaks danger, doom and destruction. He stared hard at the intruder who had deemed it fit to disrupt his peace at the time of the day. If he stared any harder, the intruder's soul will be sucked out of their body. Not that he cared about the life or death of anyone but the intruder seemed to know what they were doing." Do you have anything new to report to me." He said calmly, his voice devoid of any emotion placing a pipe in between his lips. No matter how calm he had sounded, the intruder knew better than to relax in his presence. He was like a ticking bomb ready to explode and anytime and the intruder was not prepared to leave their body. "Use your mouth." He said when the intruder had nodded to his question. "Yes." The intruder said in a sharp voice trying to

Chapter Forty-sevenLeila's POV I couldn't help but ask Xavier for the umpteenth time where he was taking me to even though I was well aware of the fact that he would never tell me. I know that it was another heartwarming surprise but I couldn't help but feel bored. We had been driving for what felt like ages, and Xavier had been teasing me with the promise of a surprise. "Just trust me, Leila," he would say with a mischievous smile each time I asked him where we were headed. Frustration mounted within me as I wondered what the surprise would be.Finally, he parked the car and turned around to open the door for me. I stepped out of the car and stretched my bones yawning, expressing my tiredness and he cocked a brow at me. Curiosity tingling in my veins as I looked round the environment that did not give me the slightest idea of where we were and what exactly we were doing here. I felt a cloth hover my eyes and I turned around to look at him."Do you trust me?" He asked and I nodded wo

Chapter Forty-nineXavier sat in his office, his mind burdened with the weight of his choices. His head was pounding as he sat in his office, trying to focus on his work. Killian had been nagging him incessantly about keeping him away from their mate, Leila. His constant reminders were starting to grate on Xavier's nerves. Killian had been incessantly nagging him about keeping him away from their mate, Leila. Xavier knew deep down that it was for the best, that he didn't want to risk being caught off guard again and potentially hurting Leila unintentionally.Killian, however, wasn't convinced. "You're wrong, Xavier," he argued. "The more you keep her away from us, the more likely she is to have the wrong idea about us and we can't risk that."Xavier sighed, running a hand through his hair. As much as he knew that Killian might be right,, he couldn't bring himself to agree. "I can't risk losing it again," he replied firmly. "I won't put my pack in danger because of my desires.""You'r
