Chapter Fifty-oneLeila's POVI increased my pace as I hugged myself. My heart racing as my eyes scanned the forest. This was the same place I was almost killed at two years ago and I couldn't help but be paranoid. I heard the rustling of leaves and I stopped to make sure I was not hearing things.I waited for few minutes and just when I had concluded that I was only imagining things, I heard the sound again. Someone was in the forest with me. Was I going to die? I held my breath as long as I could and walked slowly but the sounds where drawing nearer and when I could bear it no more, I broke into a race.My leg hit a fallen log and I cried out in pain. I could hear the sound of my predator approached and I struggled to get on my feet but I fell down. I closed my eyes waiting for it to descend on me. I accepted my death in good faith. I was probably going to rot here because no one would search for me. I waited for it to grab my skin and have it as it food but all I got was a lick on

Chapter Fifty-threeLeila's POVI turned around and I got face to face with my ex, Damian! And my heart skipped a beat. What the fuck was he doing here?I took in a sharp breath as I breathed in his appearance. He looked better than the last time I saw him. He was more mature. His face is a perfect blend of rugged masculinity and soft refinement. Strong, chiseled jawline was made prominent by a neatly trimmed beard. His piercing, expressive eyes are a deep shade of Blue. Standing at an impressive height, he possesses a tall, well-proportioned physique that exudes an air of strength and confidence. He opts for a classic suit that accentuates his broad shoulders.'He is of no match to Xavier.' My subconscious whispered to me and I could feel my cheeks turning to a deeper shade of pink. I cleared my throat and folded my arms across my chest, his eyes following my movements lingering too much on my chest causing me to roll my eyes at him."Are you back?" He asked when he was done checking

Chapter Fifty-fiveLeila's POVI stepped into my dress. Lilly was right, this was the best dress for the occasion. I loved how it hugged my body. She was so good at choosing clothes and I was glad that I took her advice. Not that she would have let me leave the mall if I didn't."You look amazing Leila, look at those curves. You are a walking beauty." I spoke to my reflection after I stepped into my eight inch heel.I stepped out of the room and I came in contact with Lilly."Oh my goodness, Lilly, you look so amazing. That dress looks great on you." I admired her gown. It wasn't as tight as mine so it gave her enough time to breathe."You look amazing too, I told you that the dress was the right one for the occasion.""Yes you did, I admit it. Now don't rub it in my face.""That you almost wanted to disgrace yourself today?""Shut up." She laughed while holding her stomach."Anyways, where is Kenny?" I asked looking around to see if he was lurking around and waiting for the right m

Chapter Fifty-sevenLeila's POV "Are you okay?" Leila asked feeling concerned and I nodded smiling. "Of course I am." "You can't always act strong, Leila." Kenny said. I was picking my fingernails, refusing to meet their concerned gaze. "I am over him. I don't feel a single thing about him." I said looking through the car window as Kenny drove us out of the place. The car screeched and came to halt. Kenny turned to me. "I know that you don't feel anything about him again. I figured it out when you talked back to him this morning. But let's face this shit. What he said in the morning and hours ago is not okay and you shouldn't act strong." Kenny said and the tears I had been holding hard started dropping. I had no control over my emotions again. "I don't know why everyone feels that because I don't have a wolf makes me the worst being. I didn't ask to be born without a wolf. He didn't have to rub it in my face every time he saw me." I said in a breaking voice.

Chapter Fifty-nineLeila's POV"What took you guys so long?" Ellie asked as my brother and his mate sat with us. " Well, someone wanted to wear the perfect dress." He said, biting his lips. " You don't want me in rags do you?" " That doesn't mean you should spend six hours shopping for a single dress." " So you're saying that I was wasting your time?" She started sobbing and I bit my lips hard to stop myself from laughing while Kenny tried to pacify his mate who was at the verge of tears. Ellie was the first to laugh and I couldn't hold myself again. Kenny glared daggers at us while we laughed at him. He looked so exhausted. It was rare to see him like that. My eyes roamed around the room and I spotted the people I came here for. " Um... guys, I'm going to talk to Damian and Shirley now." " Do you want me to come with you?" Ellie asked concerned and I shook my head. " It's not something I need backup for. I just want to talk to them." I assured the
