Lahat ng Kabanata ng THE BILLIONAIRE’S NURSE: Kabanata 21 - Kabanata 30

He was going to kiss her,He felt her breath and could already imagine the taste of plump lips against his own, she was breathing heavily, he slowed down purposely allowing her to pull away, but she didn't instead she closed her eyes as if she wanted it too which heightened his desire to kiss her."Laura," Murmured in warning, pulling her even closer that their nose was almost touching, he gently used the tip of his fingers to caress her lips, he moved close to claim her lip but the ring of the phone on the table made them both jump. She quickly stood up mumbled some words that he could make out and ran out of his room. He wanted to run after her but he remembered he didn't have legs that can move so he just sat trying to calm his own heart down and also the regret he could feel set in on him.He looked at the number on the screen and he wanted to scream at it, on one hand, he was glad for the distraction cuz he knew the call had not come at that moment he would have done something t

"Oh my God Devon, what happened? Are you okay?"Laura asked as soon as she entered Devon's room she felt stupid for asking him if he was okay cuz it was obvious that he wasn't. He was laying on the floor, his wheelchair halfway on top of him.She quickly ran to his side and removed the wheelchair, making him sit up on the floor."Hey, sorry, were you trying to get on the chair? Why didn't you call me to help you?""This is so embarrassing,"He responded by covering his face with his hands."Please I am gonna touch some part of your legs please tell me if you feel any pain,"She said kneeling beside him and examining his legs."Don't worry about it Laura nothing is broken, I fell on my boot,"He said, roving her hands from his leg."Still, I should check to be sure."She replied."Okay, nurse do your job,"He said, throwing his hand in the air in surrender."Don't you feel anything?"She asked when he didn't make any sound while she examined"I told you I fell on my boot, I was trying

"Did you guys fight? I don’t like the energy here and I feel you guys fought, did you?”Mark asked Devon while they sat in the palm house, He had asked him that question more than ten times now."Mark, I answered before, didn't I?""Yes you did but I don't believe you, so you better tell me what you did to her before she comes and tells me herself."Mark inquired."We didn't fight, I fell, she got angry and, Mark can you just stop asking me already I told you that I don't want to talk about it,"Devon said.He had told Mark before that they didn't fight but he kept asking over and over again making Devon angry."Wait you fell? How come? Are you feeling okay? Shouldn't we be headed to the hospital?"Mark said fusing over him like he was some child, Devon rolled his eyes at his behavior."Mark that was hours ago if I was injured like you feared I would already be in the hospital,"He said lifting his hands to make his point more clear."Aha, that's true, thank God you are okay, but that

"He is not back with his ex!!!"Was the thought that ran through Laura's mind for most of the day, that's the only thing that she got from the whole talk, not that she didn't listen to the other parts but the guilty she had been feeling suddenly left her, Devon didn't cheat on anyone by wanting to kiss her, she felt relieved, she still wish they can talk about it and also move on from it cuz she didn't want their friendship to be tainted by something that didn't even happen. When she had left them in the palm house she had met Percy, she had then offered to help her with the laundry, Percy had refused at first but she later agreed and while they were doing that, Percy had brought up Devon's ex topic talking about how she was spreading lies and lots of other things, she had then used the opportunity to find out more about the said woman, what she found out didn't much interest her, all she got was that they broke up about two months ago and they had not gotten back together as the ex h

He frowned, the thought of another person here instead of Laura didn't sit well with him, he was grateful that she came instead."Thank God you came instead,"He let out.She laughed."May I ask, if your co-workers know me so well then how come you never heard of me until I came to the hospital?"He couldn't help asking."That's because I am not interested in celebrity gist so whenever they start talking about those I either wall away politely or I just tune out when they are talking,"She answered."Aha, then do you perhaps know a male nurse? He good me his name but I have forgotten, he kept making fun of me that day and I swore to get back at him but I forgot."He said remembering the male nurse that had attended to him that day, he had forgotten about his revenge plan, he couldn't even remember his name."There are two male nurses there is Cross and Nathan but Cross is currently on leave so it can't be him, it should be Nathan,"She disclosed."Yeah, I remember, it's Nathan,"He re
