ARAYAH. As I walked away from the pack, my heart was pounding in my chest. I couldn't believe that Meredith had accused me of being a vampire. It was a dangerous accusation, one that could have grave consequences. But the Prince had asked me to leave and not to worry about it. I was relieved, but still, the accusation weighed heavily on my mind.As I walked through the forest, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I had always known that Meredith had a sharp tongue, but I never thought that she would accuse me of something so serious. I wondered what had caused her to make such a false accusation. Was it jealousy? Envy? I couldn't be sure, but I knew that I had to be careful around her from now on.As I walked, I thought about my life in the pack. I had always felt like an outsider, even though I had been a part of the pack for so long. I had never truly felt like I belonged, and now, with Meredith's accusation, I felt even more isolated. I wondered if anyone else in the pack b

AMAREUXAs I walked away from my conversation with Arayah, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. It had been a while since I had felt genuinely happy, and our interaction brought that feeling back to me. For a moment, it felt like everything else in the world had faded away, and it was just her and I.I couldn't help but smile as I walked through the woods, feeling the cool breeze on my face. It was as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, and I could breathe easier. It was amazing how just one conversation could change my entire outlook on things.I had been so consumed with worry and stress lately, with the recent attack on our pack and my sister's kidnapping. It had been hard to find any happiness or joy in my life. But speaking with Arayah reminded me that there was still goodness in the world. As I continued to walk, I couldn't help but think about Arayah. There was something about her that drew me in, something that made me want to be around her. She was kind, intellige

MEREDITH'S POV.I paced back and forth in my room, my mind racing with thoughts about what to do next. I couldn't let the truth be overlooked, not when it came to Arayah. I knew she was a vampire, and I was going to make sure everyone else knew it too.But Amareux didn't believe me. I could see it in his eyes. He liked Arayah, and he didn't want to believe that she was anything other than what she appeared to be. It was frustrating, but I wasn't going to let his disbelief stop me.I sat down on my bed and took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. I needed to figure out a plan, a way to expose Arayah for who she really was.I knew I had to gather evidence, but I didn't know where to start. Arayah was always so careful, never leaving any traces behind. But I couldn't let that stop me. I had to find something, anything, that would prove my suspicions.I got up and started pacing again, my thoughts swirling around in my head. I couldn't just sit here and do nothing. I had to take ac

MEREDITH'S POV.As I looked at Albert, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. He was a formidable presence, with a stern expression and piercing blue eyes that seemed to look right through me.He was an old man, but he carried himself with the grace and dignity of someone much younger. He wore a long, flowing robe that was adorned with intricate symbols and designs, and I could tell that he was someone of great importance.I knew that Albert was one of the Pack's elders, and that he had a great deal of power and influence within the community. He was known for his wisdom and his ability to make fair and just decisions, and I knew that I was in the presence of someone truly special. As he looked at me, his eyes narrowed slightly. "What is it that you wish to discuss?" he asked, his voice deep and commanding.I took a deep breath, gathering my courage. "I need to talk to you about Arayah," I said, my voice trembling slightly. "I believe that she is not who she claims to be."Albert's

CHAPTER 105.ALBERT'S POV.I sat alone in my room, deep in thought. The events of the day had left me feeling uneasy, and I couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. When Meredith had come to me, her eyes filled with fear, I had known that something was wrong. She had always been a fierce young woman, unafraid of speaking her mind, but today she had been different. The fear in her eyes had been palpable, and it had set me on edge. And when she had told me her suspicions about Arayah, I had known that I needed to investigate further. After all, I had heard whispers about Arayah before. Some of the other members of the council had mentioned her in passing, saying that there was something off about her. But until now, I had never taken those whispers seriously. But now, with Meredith's words ringing in my ears, I couldn't ignore them any longer. I knew that I needed to look into Arayah's past, to see if there was any truth to the rumors. And so, I sat in my room, going over th

106.ARAYAH'S POV.I feel so restless today, but I can't figure out why. I woke up early this morning feeling drained and unenergetic, so I decided to skip my morning run. That's unlike me; usually, exercise helps me clear my head and feel better. But today, the thought of moving even an inch more than I have to makes me feel tired.I try to focus on my daily routine, but everything feels off. I'm usually so confident and sure of myself, but today, my thoughts are scattered, and my nerves are frayed. It's as though something is weighing me down, holding me back.Maybe it's the pressure of being a contender for the Prince's bride. I never expected to be in this position, and sometimes I can't shake the feeling that I don't belong here. But that doesn't feel like the root of my restlessness.I try to distract myself by doing some light reading, but I can't focus on the words on the page. I'm usually so engrossed in whatever I'm reading, but today, my mind wanders. I keep looking out the

107.The council members gathered in the grand hall, each taking their respective seats around the large round table. The air was tense, and they all knew what the meeting was about. They had received a letter from Albert, and it had left them all shaken."Good morning, everyone," the head council member, a woman named Selena, spoke up. "I'm sure you all know why we're here today."The others nodded grimly, some shifting uncomfortably in their seats."Albert's letter was disturbing, to say the least," Selena continued. "But we cannot let our fears be overshadowed by our loyalty to the Prince. We have to investigate this matter thoroughly.""But what about the Prince?" One of the council members spoke up, his voice low. "He's blinded by Arayah's soft nature. He won't take kindly to this.""That's why we can't tell him," Selena replied. "At least not yet. We have to gather more evidence and build a strong case against her.""But what if we're wrong?" Another council member interjected.

108.The council elders gathered again in their usual meeting place to discuss the issue of Arayah. There was an air of tension in the room, as the members knew that the topic at hand could have serious consequences. The head of the council, Elder Finn, started the meeting with a somber tone. "We are here to discuss the matter concerning Arayah. As we all know, there have been suspicions about her conduct in recent days."The council members looked at each other, some nodding in agreement, while others looked unsure. Elder Finn continued, "We cannot ignore the fact that her behavior has caused concern among some of us. However, we need to consider all aspects before we take any action."The discussion went on for hours as each member expressed their opinion. Some argued that they should confront Arayah directly and demand an explanation. Others suggested that they should investigate further to gather more evidence before making any accusations.Despite the varying opinions, one thing

109.The morning of the council meeting arrived and the members were already gathered in the room when the Prince entered. The atmosphere was tense as they were discussing the matter at hand. The Prince's arrival seemed to escalate the tension even more."Good morning, Your Highness," greeted one of the elders. "We were just discussing the issue regarding Arayah."The Prince's expression was inscrutable, but his tone was commanding. "I see. And what have you decided?"The elder who had spoken before hesitated before speaking. "Your Highness, we have decided that the matter is in our hands. We will investigate it and if we find any evidence, we will bring it to you."The Prince nodded but didn't seem satisfied with the answer. "I understand. But let me make it clear that if you fail to prove any wrongdoing on Arayah's part, I will take it upon myself to deal with those who accused her. Is that clear?"The council members nodded in agreement, but there was an air of uncertainty in the r

110.ARAYAH'S POV. I woke up this morning feeling a deep sense of trouble that I couldn't quite explain. The more I tried to shake it off, the more it gripped me, a gnawing feeling in my stomach that refused to subside. I went about my usual routine, trying to find some solace in the familiarity of my tasks, but even that failed to bring me any peace. As the day wore on, the sense of unease grew stronger, wrapping around me like a cloak. I tried to distract myself by reading, but I couldn't concentrate on the words. I tried to take a walk, but the fresh air did nothing to clear my head.It was like there was a dark cloud hanging over me, a weight that I couldn't shake off. I felt like I was drowning in my own thoughts, lost in a sea of worry and uncertainty. What if the council's suspicions were true? What if I had done something to deserve their scrutiny? The more I thought about it, the more my anxiety grew, until it felt like a living thing inside me, clawing at my insides. I trie
