Dan sighed and looked at his family. It had been a long time since he had spoken to them about his brother, Uncle Damien. He had been a great man, his father's favorite, and had been a pillar of strength in the family. But something had changed when it was his time to be alpha and he did not want to admit it. The family had been blessed with strength and everything else and he, Dan had enjoyed all the fine things of life but unfortunately, when it came to women, he was not so lucky. He had searched high and low, far and wide and even in other packs for a mate and could not find one and so he nearly gave up being an Alpha but then his friend suggested something. At the time, Damian had a girl he had picked as his mate and everyone knew her with him but he was not to be the next alpha, Dan was, and so, Dan's friend suggested that Dan talk to Damian about giving him his mate. It was for the good of the pack after all.Dan took the idea to their father who was the alpha at the time and t

Rafe's father, Dan, had bitten his lower lip to stop himself from talking or saying anything stupid. As his brother stood before him, he felt a wave of different emotions. He did not know if to be grateful or sad. His brother's presence reminded him of the past that transpired between the two of them. The night he had banished his only brother because of the alpha duties he had to carry out. Everyone looked at it from Damian's perspective but if they could just look at it from his, they would see that he too went through a lot. "I followed you and saw that he had taken you under his wing and so, one day, when he had asked you to go on an errand, I had asked to speak with him. I asked him to protect you. I begged him to take you as a special person and protect you for me. If you could only see how I humiliated myself because of you. I fell on my knees to ask a human to please not send you on deadly missions and for him to invest in you. I was an alpha to my pack, but a beggar to a hum

Dan sat in his room all alone feeling the weight of the whole situation. His son's life was at stake because he knew the kind of man Mr Jones Vones was. He was ruthless and impulsive. He had worked with him for years and had every idea what the man could do. The man was a killer and he had derived joy from killing in all the murders he had done."I have to rescue Rafe" he said to himself as he stood up and paced about his room, "But what can I do?"He remembered Mr Jones Vones wanted Ivy but he did not want to send her off to Mr Jones Vones. She was a pretty and Innocent girl. How could he possibly send her off that monster?Especially now that he had possessed the powers of a werewolf. That would be suicidal for both Ivy and Rafe.He smacked his hand on his wardrobe door. This was not going to be easy for him or anyone, but it had to be done. Something told him that things would end up terribly wrong in that fight. Someone might have to die for peace to reign and he hoped it was not

Dan watched as the flames went 7o in the air as he immediately tried to push himself away from Dave. The fire started to burn Dave and was soon reaching him as he tried to escape, suddenly, water fell from the sky. Dan was at a safe distance from the fire when he looked up to see what was going on. Someone was up in the sky, holding a hose and helping quench the fire. Dan couldn't make out who it was and so he shifted a little further away to have a clear look. He squinted his eyes as he tried to make his vision clearer and suddenly, he saw the figure clearly. He could make out the face. It was his most dreaded enemy."What are you doing here?" Dan asked his brother, Damian. Damian pointed the hose in his direction as the water attempted to pour out on Dan. Dan immediately jolted and ran to dry ground."What the hell?!!" He shouted out loud, "are you out of your mind?" He asked his little brother.Damian smirked. He continued to pour water around the compound. Dave was burning and beg

Rafe looked to his captor. He smiled, blood dripping from his mouth, "Is that all you have to say?" He huffed. "Well, I wasn't expecting them anyway so I guess it's a loss for you. I can't believe you came down here to tell me that. Don't you have something important to do?" He said to Mr Jones Vones.Mr Jones Vones was a bit taken back then reaction he got from Rafe. He had expected a tear or at least a loud cry. What he was seeing from Rafe was definitely not his plan of reactions."Aren't you surprised?" He asked Rafe. "It seems you didn't hear me. I said your father blew up in flames. I hope you know what that means. You have just lost your alpha and father. I won" he said with wide eyes. He must have expected Rafe to react while he said it the second time but Rafe still stared at him blankly."Clearly, I heard you last time. Repeating yourself only makes me see you desperate to get a reaction from me." Rafe said as he stared again.Mr Jones Vones stood up from his chair. He was n
