Nightmare

"No, please don't hit my mom. Mom..." Matteo woke up to the pain-filled screams of Hera. He knows that she always remembers and cries for her mother during the night. But her cries are soft and not like this. She is terrified. He rushed inside her room and found her crying while tightly clutching her blanket. "Please stop" She is begging someone. He approached her bed and leaned down closer to her. "Hera, baby girl?" he shook her. But she violently pushed him away and moved to the other side of the bed. She woke up with a start and looked at him with wide terrified eyes. He raised his palms in a surrender motion. "It's me, you are safe" he assured her softly. She blinked repeatedly to clear her head. When she realized that she is not in her father's villa, she sighed with relief. She crawled towards him and leaned into him for comfort and to feel safe. As he is still standing, her head is resting on his stomach. He caressed her hair with concern. "What happened? Did they do

Ex

Sussane wanted to break all the stuff she could get her hands on. But she cannot show her anger in front of Fredrick. Matteo has shown a different side of himself which she was not expecting. She was sure before that he was not in any relationship with anyone. But the way he is showing care and affection toward Hera is more than enough for everyone to realize that her like Hera. "Hera? What does she have that I don't? That Cedric died because he was obsessed with her. How did she even manage to capture Matteo's attention to the point that he didn't even hesitate to kill Cedric and anger Frederick? This is insane" she muttered to herself angrily. Fredrick silently buried his nephew after Matteo killed him. He doesn't want anyone to find out that Matteo is angry with him, as it would lead to potential problems for his clients and he might lose a lot of money, which he wanted to avoid. Moreover, Frederick is scared of Matteo and also angry about what he did. But there is nothing he can

Drama

"What happened? Why are you behaving like this? Is it because of her?" Sussane asked while pointing her finger at Hera. Matteo gritted his teeth, stood directly before Hera, and blocked her from Sussane's eyes. "Don't you dare drag Hera into your nonsense. She has nothing to do with you and you know it. I can see what you are trying to do by creating drama here. Leave now" he growled. But Sussane is not done yet. She wanted to sow seeds of doubt in Hera's mind and separate them now. She can see that their relationship is still new and it is easy to separate them now. "Darling, please don't speak so harshly. I love you so much. I went to act like Fredrick's girlfriend only because you wanted me to. Now that you found someone younger and more beautiful than me, you cannot cast me aside. You are hurting my feelings" she cried crocodile tears. Hera is not understanding why Sussane is talking as if she is so familiar with Matteo. She began to feel a little jealous when Sussane declare

Push and pull

After the fiasco, Sussane made, Hera and Matteo grow a little distant. She wanted to know about Sussane, but she doesn't want to ask him. Even though he wanted to tell her about his past, he doesn't know where to start and what she would think if he confessed why he came here in the first place. He has to tell her that he is the same man whom she gave her mother's heart to. He doesn't want her to feel that he violated her privacy when she wanted to keep her identity a secret. She went to her graduation ceremony alone when she realized that he is busy. After he learned that he missed her graduation, he became upset. That pushed them a little more distant. Hera dosent like Sussane one bit. She saw how Sussane trapped her father. So she is finding it hard to imagine Sussane and Matteo together. She doesn't know his life before he came here and it is not fair of her to demand that he explain everything. He is already doing more than he should for her, and she doesn't want to be seen as u

A part of the past

Hera melted in his arms and hugged him back. She missed him. She missed everything about him. His care, his touch, and his voice. Her heart is still pounding from what happened earlier. He sounded angry, but his tone suggested something else which she didn't understand. But damn if she didn't find pleasure when he used his endearment to call her. Matteo on the other hand has this strange urge to kiss her, which confused him. He like Hera, but not like how Sussane thought it is. He shares a bond with Hera which is special to him and her. He knows what she likes and what she doesn't. He knows what scares her and what excites her. They both are comfortable with each other and he trusts her a lot. He can bet on his life that she would never do anything intentionally to hurt him. What's more, she always cared about him to the best of her abilities. She is loyal to him, and she always will be. "What are you doing here?" he asked her firmly. He remembered that she did not invite him to her

Fixed on her

Hera's lips are still tingling even an hour after she kissed Matteo. Her heart is still pounding and the butterflies in her stomach refuse to settle down. She didn't even kiss his lips, but the feeling is intense. And however insane it might look, she wants to kiss him again. "This looks good. Tell them to finish it soon. I don't want you to compromise on quality either. We promised to hand over the project by the end of this month and i don't want any delays. If you think it might get delayed then hire extra workers" he is talking with the project manager. She didn't notice it before, but he commands respect where ever he is. He is smart and knows what he is doing. He remembers every single detail of the projects they are working on. The project manager is flipping pages for a few updates, but Matteo has everything stored in his mind. 'This is the reason everyone respects him ' she thought. She has been sitting in his office for an hour now. She is working on the designs he gave h

Trapped

Matteo is eating less and watching Hera more. He knows her taste and what she loves to eat. She is eating a Crispy chicken and spicy biscuit slider. One thing he likes about Hera is that she enjoys her food and savors every bite. A little bit of sauce smeared at the corner of her mouth, which she didn't notice. He leaned over and wiped the sauce with his thumb before licking it. Hera froze when he touched the corner of her mouth. When she saw what he did, she is surprised. He licked the sauce. That move is so intimate and familiar. If anyone else has done it, then she would have run as far away from him as possible. Just like she ran away from Justin when he tried to kiss her. She used to crush on him, but when the moment it became physical, she ran. But with Matt, she liked it. 'What is happening to me today? Why am I so transfixed by everything he is doing? He is just Matt, my Matt. He is always caring, just like this. But now she is much more aware of what he is doing as if a dam

Missing

After almost an hour, Matteo came back to his cabin and found it empty. 'Where is Hera?' he wondered. He tried calling her, but she didn't pick up. An uneasy feeling settled in the pit of his stomach. He walked out of his cabin and stopped in front of Nova. "Do you know where Hera is?" he asked. Nova lifted his head from the papers he was arranging and stood up to his feet when he saw his boss. "No Boss, Ms.Wilson said that she wants to take a look around. I don't know where she went" he replied. Matteo nodded and went in search of Hera. Nova followed after him. They asked around the office and everyone claimed that they didn't see her. "What the hell, how can she disappear without a trace? No one saw her and she didn't go out of this building either. Then where is she?" Matteo demanded with anger and concern. He is anxious and worried about her. All of his men shuffled on their feet with fear when they saw how furious their boss is. Immediately Nova and a few others along

Together

The next morning, Hera woke up feeling terrible. Her mouth is dry and her head is hurting. She can feel slight discomfort in her arms and legs. The only good thing she is feeling is the warmth she is surrounded by. She is feeling warm and cozy."Hmmm.." she mumbled something and stirred. She frowned when she began to gain her senses. She felt smooth skin under her fingertips. Her frown deepened when she registered that she is lying down on something hard and warm and bare. Her eyes flew open with confusion and collided with the familiar grey orbs, which she began to like so much."Baby girl, how are you feeling?" Matteo asked softly with concern.Hera noticed that she is lying on top of Matteo, who is wearing only his sleep shorts leaving his torso bare. She registered that her legs are bare as she is now wearing only his shirt. Belatedly she noticed that she is sleeping in his room, on his bed.Hera sat up quickly but groaned immediately when her head began to protest with pain. "Ah

Cannot be undone

Matteo came back from his office a little later than usual. He has something important to take care of and it took him an hour more to finish it. By the time he came back, he found Hera Sitting in the living room. An envelope is sitting on the coffee table in front of her. The villa is empty, as the house help and chef left after finishing their duties. The guards are stationed outside, and they are not allowed to come inside. There is a room in the backyard to one corner, which is usually used by the guards. "Hey baby girl" he greeted her.Hera perked up and ran towards him. She jumped into his arms with happiness. He caught her around her waist easily and she wrapped her arms and legs around him with a big grin."Thank you so much, Matt. You are the best" she thanked him excitedly. He is happy to see her happy. "What made you this happy?" he asked curiously.Hera kissed both of his cheeks, taking him by surprise. "It's you who paid Olivia's fees right? Now she can study at Califo
