Chapter 21
ANNA As I slept, I was lost in a good dream. I was running through the forest with my wolf, feeling the wind in my hair, and the freedom of the hunt. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder and I was jolted awake. Dante was standing over me, his face a mask of urgency. "Anna," he said, "You need to wake up. Take a quick shower and pack your things, we’re moving out of here,” I was confused and groggy, but I could sense the tension in the air. "What's going on?" I asked him, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. “We need to run away from the Henesy, away from the Black Pearl Pack. Come on, I’ll explain everything later. Please trust me, Anna,” There’s a pleading in his tone. “Why… why do we need to do that, Dante?” Dante didn't answer me directly. Instead, he told me to take a quick shower and pack all of my important things. I could see the fear in his eyes, and it sent a shiver down my spine. I quickly got dressed and did as he asked, my heart pounding in my chest. As I got dressed a

ANNA I wiped my tears and looked at Dante with determination in my eyes. I couldn't let Dante give up everything for me. I loved him too much to let him do that. "I won't let you do that, Dante," I said firmly. "I won't let you give up your future and your dreams for me." Dante smiled at me and cupped my face with his hands. "Anna, you are my future and my dream," he said. "Without you, I have nothing. I don't care about the Lycan King title or the company. All I care about is you. You are my everything." I felt my heart swell with love for Dante. I leaned in and kissed him passionately. We broke apart, panting, and Dante leaned his forehead against me. "I have a plan, Anna," he said. "We can run away together, start a new life where no one knows us. We can live in a small town, get married, and start a family. We can be happy together, just the two of us." I smiled at Dante. I loved his idea, but I knew it wasn't that simple. "Dante, we can't just run away like that," I said. "You

Chapter 23
ANNA As I watched Dante walk into our safe house, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of worry. It had been a month since we had fled from the Black River Pack, and while we were finally free, life was hard. Especially for Dante. He wasn't used to living without money and his father's connections. But he refused to admit it to me. I knew he was struggling, though. He spent long hours working as a construction worker in the small town we had settled in. It was hard, physical work, and it took a toll on him. But he never complained. And I admired him for that. I did what I could to help him, too. I sold food from house to house, using my cooking skills to earn some extra money for us. It wasn't much, but it helped. And it was something we could do together. But sometimes, I couldn't help feeling sorry for Dante. He had grown up with a silver spoon in his mouth, and now he was struggling to make ends meet. It wasn't fair. But life wasn't fair, and we had to make the best of what we had.

Chapter 24
ANNA As we settled in for the night, Dante wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close. "I love you, Anna," he whispered in my ear. "I love you too, Dante," I replied, snuggling into his embrace. And at that moment, all the struggles and hardships faded away. Because we had each other. And that was enough. The next morning, I woke up to Dante's smiling face. He was practically bouncing with excitement as he told me that someone was impressed with his work. I couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm. "Who was it?" I asked, sitting up in bed. "It was a rich guy who just built a new house," Dante replied. "He saw some of my interior designs and was really impressed. He wants me to design his entire house." "That's amazing, Dante!" I exclaimed, feeling a surge of pride for him. "I hope you will get paid well for your hard work,” Dante's face lit up even more. "I will be compensated a lot. Enough to cover our expenses for a while and even save up some money." I couldn't help but

Chapter 25
Dante trudged down the street, his feet heavy with exhaustion. It had been a long day at work, and his body ached with fatigue. He had been working hard to impress his first client, Mr. Smith, with his interior design skills. But in the end, it had all paid off - Mr. and Mrs. Smith were thrilled with his plans and had even given him a 30% half advance payment. Dante couldn't believe his luck. Although he was born rich, life had been tough ever since he left his pack with Anna. Every cent counted, and he was shocked to see that Mr. Smith had given him $3000 just for the layout design. And there will be more once he finishes the tasks. Tears stung his eyes as he thanked the couple profusely, his heart overflowing with gratitude. He could still remember his conversation with the couple. "You deserve it, Dante," Mrs. Smith said warmly, patting his arm. "Your work is exceptional, and we couldn't be happier with what you've done." Dante could hardly believe his ears. He had always been pa

Chapter 26
ANNA I woke up in a dark, secluded, and empty jail. The walls were made of damp and cold stones. The air smelled of mold and decay. It looked like an underground jail, the kind they show in movies, and my heart was racing with fear. Suddenly, I remembered the last scene before I ended up here. Someone had blocked my way going back home and punched me, beating me. I was scared and confused, not knowing where I was. All I could think of was Dante, my love. I prayed that he was safe and far away from here. The room was pitch black, and I couldn't see anything. It was dark and cold, and the silence was deafening. I could hear the faint sound of dripping water from somewhere. The silence was broken by the sound of the door opening, and I saw Donovan Rossi, Dante's father, the Lycan King, standing before me. He had a devilish grin on his face while looking at me. I could feel his eyes piercing through me, and a shiver ran down my spine. I knew he was the mastermind behind everything. "W

Chapter 27
ANNA I couldn't believe my eyes as I stared out the window of the Black Pearl Pack's headquarters. Donovan Rossi had brought me all the way back to Henesy City, and from where I stood, I could see a large gathering of my packmates outside. It looked like some kind of ceremony or celebration was taking place, but I had no idea what it could be for. And why had Donovan brought me here of all places? My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching. I could smell Donovan's scent before he even entered the room, and my heart sank. I had heard so many stories about the Lycan King from Dante, and none of them were good. Donovan strode into the room with a devilish laugh, gripping my chin tightly in his hand. My whole body tensed up as he began to speak, his voice dripping with venom. I can’t move or do anything, he’s too strong. "I'm mad at you, Anna," he growled. "My son's life has changed because of you. He insists on being with a poor slave like you, a rankless wolf

Chapter 28
ANNA The Black Pearl Pack all cheered and shouted in unison. “Yes! She deserves it!” “Give that ambitious rankless wolf a lesson!” “She stole the Lycan Prince from his mate! Darlyn Taylor deserves the Lycan Prince!” “Get lost, rankless wolf!” The Lycan King laughed out loud. His laugh filled the entire stadium. I felt tears welling up in my eyes as I realized what was about to happen. I didn't know what kind of punishment they had in mind, but I knew it was going to be bad. Donovan Rossi was standing next to me, laughing and sneering at me. He was the epitome of evil, and I could feel his hatred and malice radiating off of him. Even if I can’t see him I know he is looking at me with contempt, as if I was nothing but a piece of trash that needed to be thrown away. I felt so pitiful and small like I was nothing in the face of all these people. But I refused to let them break me. I knew that I was strong and that I had the willpower to survive this. I would not let them defeat me

Chapter 30
ANNA "Can I at least use a bathroom? I know you know that I need a bathroom," I said, trying to be brave. But Donovan smirked at me and looked at me from head to toe. "Are you really asking me? A poor rankless wolf like you Anna doesn't deserve any privilege," I try to keep my eyes downcast, but Donovan grabs my chin, forcing me to look at my poop. I feel sick to my stomach as he mocks me, comparing me to my waste. "You're just like this, Anna. Stench and nothing." He says with a sinister grin. I want to scream at him, to tell him how wrong he is. I am not just waste, and I am not nothing. But my voice is hoarse, and my throat is dry. I can barely manage a whisper. "Please, Donovan, let me go. I can't take this anymore." He laughs at my plea, throwing his head back. "Let you go? You know that's not going to happen until Dante gives up. And he won't give up. He's a fool for you." I try to pull away from his grip, but he tightens it, forcing me to look at him. His face is twisted w
