CHAPTER SIXTY ONE - TIME TOGETHER
He grabbed her curves in his hands. And God! Oh God! They felt so soft. He pressed tightly into her, heat pressing against heat. His mouth swallowed her gasps, greedily, ravenously. Imagination swirled up in his head, imagination was killing him already, having an intoxicating effect on him. He could imagine himself feeling her already, buried inside her, taking her where they stood and driving her until they both became senseless. He could imagine taking her deep down into the wood, shifting and mating in their wolf form under the full moon. Marking her all over again. He caught himself as his hands gripped the thin strap over her back, at the point of ripping of her cloth. He calmed his body down, He couldn't do that here. They were right in the living room, and anyone could barge in. Also, he wasn't even sure if he had any condom in his pocket. He couldn't make that mistake of doing it raw. He can't bear to get her pregnant now. He set her aside so abruptly as he remembered this

CHAPTER SIXTY TWO - PANIC
"She's not what?!" Valentina yelled into the phone, attracting other people's attention as everyone in the restaurant stopped what they were doing, and turned their heads in her direction. The other end went blank. Daisy wasn't talking anymore. Then Sophie's scream came on the line once again, sounding dry and hoarse this time. "My poor baby," Val whispered softly. She had a very bad feeling in her gut that something bad must have happened to her daughter. But she couldn't place her finger on what it could be. Apparently she was still alive. Her baby wasn't dead, so that alone made her feel a little bit relieved. "What's wrong with Sophie? Daisy, what's wrong with my daughter?" she said through her gritted teeth, as if forcing herself not to yell. Daisy wasn't still speaking. Val could only hear her soft sobbing, which infuriated her greatly that she yelled again the second time, this time even louder than before. "Speak up, Daisy! Damn it!" Alexander waved his hands apologeticall

CHAPTER SIXTY THREE - DIFFERENT FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS
In the Red Moon Pack's palace, the atmosphere was lively. Everyone was happy and in a very light mood. Alex arms were tightly wrapped around Val's waist as they gazed into each other's eyes affectionately. They watched their daughter run around, playing with other pups. She seemed to be having so much fun and enjoying herself. Sophie had long dark hair, cascading down her shoulders as she ran around. She was indeed a lovely girl. A great beauty to behold. "Mum, Dad, see what I did!" Sophie screamed in delight , running towards them with her hands raised high above her head, showing them the paper doll she had created. Val left her husband's side, rushing forward with her arms wide open, ready to receive Sophie into her warm embrace. Then in the next instant, she could hear thunder rumbling in the sky. And she couldn't see her daughter anymore. "Alex, I can't see Sophie anymore or am I going blind?" she asked as she turned to face Alex. Only that Alex wasn't standing there anymor

CHAPTER SIXTY FOUR - MORE PANIC
The scent grew stronger and stronger, overiding her brain. Her senses. The scent suppressed the banging pain she was feeling in her head. She looked drowsily around the room but saw no one. Where was she? she wondered. "Val, it's me," someone called out from the dark and there was something about the voice... The voice sounded strangely familiar to her ears, but she couldn't put a name to the voice. She continued staring into the dark, still no one. Then she suddenly felt a jolt of pain jab at her head again. She quickly grabbed her head with her two hands, wincing in pain and squeezing her eyes shut. She weaved her fingers through her hair, still wincing as the pain raked through her entire system. The pain abruptly stopped. It stopped as if commanded by some kind of unbending force. Next, someone was tapping her softly. Slowly, she opened her eyes. A pair of eyes were staring directly into her eyes. This eyes... she thought, were so farmiliar. She was sure she had seen it count

CHAPTER SIXTY FIVE - SOME CALM
She hugged Sophie tightly, pressing her head against the crook of her neck. She began moving up and down in slow and steady strides, thumping her feet as she did. "Hey, baby," Val said, stroking Sophie's hair and fighting back the tears that threatened to fall. "Daisy says you've been throwing tantrums ever since I left. Does it hurt that much?" Sophie increased the pitch of her voice, make a high-pitched whine in the back of her throat. "I know," she agreed. "No fun at all. Those rashes are itching and burning right? Don't worry, momma is here now. It's all going to be fine." "What exactly happened here?" Alex asked from behind her and she glanced over her shoulder to look at him, only to find him staring back at her in open-mouthed horror. He was scanning the entire room, spinning around as he so. "What is it?" she asked him, unsure of why he must be acting that way. "I'm just wondering why this place is so..." He made a gesture with his hand. "So chaotic and disorganized," he f

CHAPTER SIXTY SIX - THINKING
Blood and brutal manslaughter. Howl of pain and lots of head rolling on the floor. And Sophie. She was in these dreams too. She was there, held captive by some unknown people. Pursued by these horrible dreams, Valentina had not spent a peaceful night at all. And she woke up freezing. Her heart beating frantically. What was odd, she thought, was that the heater in the room was on, and even the room's temperature was warm. It was more odd because she herself was buried to the chin under a thick downy quilt which someone must have used to cover her when she had slept off yesterday. The person was most possibly Alex, she thought. Despite the thick fabric swallowing her up from head to toe, her skin was still icy cold to the point of making her shiver to warm it. What was odder still, was that she was not merely cold. Until she lifted her hand to her face and felt it for herself. And she would have sworn that she was wet, as if she'd been standing out in the middle of a rainstorm. But

CHAPTER SIXTY SEVEN - SOME KIND OF RESPITE
Alexander figured it was love and happiness that made a man so energetic after only an hour's sleep, because right now he didn't know how he was feeling. He could even swear he had never felt so weak as this all his whole life. Even days when he had gone off without sleeping, he still always felt full of energy but now even after more than three hours sleep, he still felt like he needed more sleep. Yesterday night had been a little bit hectic for him. He'd had to stay in the nursery for hours to look after Sophie and make sure she's okay. It had taken so long for Sophie to finally calm down and sleep. She had woken up in between intervals of sleeping, crying in pain and scratching her body. Even at some point, Valentina had become so exhausted and had slept off, shivering in whatever it was she was feeling. Yesterday night, he couldn't fathom what Val had been feeling, whether she'd been feeling hot or cold. She had been shivering that he'd had to cover her whole body with a big

CHAPTER SIXTY EIGHT - HIS MOTHER
Both Val and Alex were torn between opening the door for whoever it is at the door, and attending to Sophie who was crying. Val on her part wanted more than anything to attend to her daughter. She didn't want anyone to see Sophie especially with the way she was now. The condition her whole skin has now become very much worse. Earlier this morning, when she had heard Sophie's squealing on her way to the kitchen, she had gone back inside the nursery to check up on her and what was making her cry again. She had met her scratching hard at those furuncle with her little fingers. She had scratched hard at them till most of the boils bursted, and pus mixed with blood came out all over her body. She'd had to bath her and apply some ointments all over her body. Surprisingly and unexpectedly, the pus had stopped coming and the furuncles had all dried up and healed completely without even a single trace of it on her body. How could that have happened? Val had been wondering ever since, ref

The woman smiled at Val. She knew that smile. That devilish crooked teeth revealing smile. Oh goodness! The strange lady from her dreams. Just that her appearance was a little bit different. CHAPTER SEVENTY - REALIZATION
Valentina grew as pale as a white sheet. She looked closely at the person lying helplessly on the floor, and it was her friend, Kendra. She had mistaken her for the strange lady from her dreams. But how was that even possible? She was positive that she had definitely seen the strange lady. Was it the way of her mind responding to the stress of what was happening to her daughter right now? Or was it the strange lady messing with her head? She might have done a little trick of making Kendra appear like her? Now she had just ended up hurting her best friend. She was feeling very... very, well she had a very complicated feeling right now. How was she even going to explain to the already shocked Alex and Matilda who were looking at her now with dismay written all over their faces. How would she explain to Kendra that she had hurt her because she thought she was someone else. "Oh, God." Her face had grown deathly white. She put a trembling hand to her mouth. "I... I'm so sorry Kendra. I
