Darren: With a smile on his face, the elder asked, "Why would you put me through the stress of coming here when you would have just swung by the courthouse for a relaxed chit-chat over a cup of blood?" Walking into the sitting room, I sat down on a couch positioned across from his, facing him directly. Choosing not to address his question. I had no intention of stopping by for a casual conversation with him. There was no particular reason or desire on my part to engage in a chit-chat with him. "I have no time for chit-chats," I said plainly, not ready to feed his thirst for getting information from me, which is the reason why he was here in the first place. A soft chuckle escaped the elder's lips, signaling his amusement. Amidst the elder's chuckles, a maid entered the room carrying a tray with two cups. She placed one on the table beside the elder and then handed the second cup to me. Receiving it, I closed my eyes, taking in the alluring aroma of the blood, which was unmistakab

Darren:As I gazed down at her, the name "Evianna" effortlessly slipped off my tongue. Her lustrous brown hair gracefully flowed down her shoulders as she cleaned the sheets with her legs, an action that would typically provoke annoyance if any of the other maids did it. Strangely, I felt no inclination to reprimand or scold her for this. My eyes alternated between flickering shades of red and black, but this time, the insatiable thirst for blood did not consume me. There was a different longing within me, something else I craved. My fangs emerged, and I couldn't resist running my tongue over their sharp edges before inhaling sharply and redirecting my gaze upward, away from her. The sensation overwhelming me is as unusual as the situation itself. For hours on end, I lingered on the balcony of my bedroom, my gaze fixed upon the expanse of the forest stretching out beyond the mansion. It had become a routine, an accustomed habit that I found solace in, even as the darkness cloaked the

Evianna: I was woken up by the loud sound of something hitting my door, with a frown on my face, I groggily opened my eyes, rubbing my palms on them as I stared at the door. I looked up at the window and stood up to my feet, angrily walking to the door as the person outside wouldn't stop banging heavily on my door. Opening the door, I came face to face with the raging Head maid, looking down, I saw a big plank on her hand which I presumed she had been using to bang on my door. I didn't do anything wrong, so what's going on again? "Do you realize what the time says? It's ten minutes after 7 AM and you are still inside sleeping when you have a chore to complete" she said in rage and it was at this moment I realized what was going on. "You aren't ready yet, you are the first to break the rule of the 6 to 7 AM cleaning of the master's bedroom," she looked up at my hair. "Go get ready, Evianna!" Nodding profusely I immediately shut the door close, resting my back on it as I heaved a

Evianna: I'm not feeling okay. My head was throbbing badly and I could feel the cold breeze. After working my arse off throughout the day, I finally finished my chores and went straight to my bedroom, throwing myself at the bed which creaked when I lay on it. I'm not sure what the time says, but it was already dark and the weather was so cold this evening.I released a tired breath, followed by a sigh. I want to go back home, I hate it here, not just because of the work. I had other reasons. I'm not sure how I'm feeling right now, but all I wanted was to run away, run far away from here. My head throbbed in pain, and I licked my lips when I felt them dry off, cold: I'm feeling so cold and all I wanted was to bury my body in a warm bath. Taking the folded blanket from the chair in the room, I wrapped it around my body, closing my eyes shut as I shivered under the clothing. I was feeling okay earlier, so I'm not sure where this cold came from, I used the blanket to co

THIRD POVThe moon cast its glow over the night, and the forest was quiet, the birds perched on the branches of the trees. A snap of twigs had them flying away to somewhere else. A shadow emerged from the darkness, covered with a black cloak, camouflaged with the darkness of the forest. The figure pulled down the head of its cloak, revealing the face of a young woman, her black hair trailed down to her waist, and her sharp eyes stared through the dark forest. She brought out a red candle from her cloak, moving her hands over the white thread, light glowed from the candle revealing the face of the woman. Her beauty is unmatched, her lashes were long, her lips are as red as blood, her face but bright as a desert, her facial features were perfectly symmetrical and flawlessly proportioned, and her dark brown eyes glowed and dimmed occasionally. She stood in the same position for a long time before she moved her legs, blowing out the candle. "Evianna" she whispered "Mama is back, wh
